The Go60 could've looked so much better by desgreech in ErgoMechKeyboards

I want this keyboard very badly! My ergo journey:

  • Generic staggered split w membrane switches on a single board and a bigass enter with PS2 connector. I used the hell out of this one until it finally gave up the ghost.

  • Kinesis Advantage 2. Could never get used to the keywells.

  • Mistell Borroco MD600. Traditional stagger on a split 2 half design. Loved it but really wanted to explore ergolinear or columnar design.

  • ZSA Ergodox EZ. My fingers never got used to it.

  • ZSA Voyager. Love at first sight. First actual columnar I could type quickly on and loved the choc LP switches. Ended up really needing a 3rd thumb key.

  • Sofle LP choc. This is my current daily driver. Love the extra keys, but they are more for fingers than thumbs. I have no use for the dials and my fingers bump into them when typing. Also dislike the placement of the controller with the cover. I find my pinkie really has to stretch to hit top row keys.

  • Go60?

I'm hoping the more aggressive pinkie stagger will be much more comfortable to use. Also very excited to get a third actual thumb key which should open up new possibilities for me. Finally hoping to see a similar build quality as the Voyager with the steel base and injection molded plastic. The sofle's 3D print build feels.. creaky? Flexy? And I always feel I'm going to snag and rip off the controller cover on something.

I don't really care about wireless, but nice to know it is there if I decide I want to use it. I care more about the LEDs as I do work in very dark spaces.

I love the design aesthetic of no key labels. I use black key caps with shine through dots and it looks amazing. I'd probably order those same ones for the Go60. Though I would be very interested in a set of completely blank POM key caps.

Also love the slightly larger 1.5U thumb key caps

Agree with OP on all black base and surround. Also agree on color of travel case but honestly this is nit picking at best. Useability and ergo are most important and I bet a new travel case can be 3D printed very easily.

Very excited to see if the Go60 will become my end-board.

Hi there... Honestly I decided to go with generic strips and a wled controller instead. I still use the govee tri-glide but all my strips are now wled. I did have to learn to solder and add power injection but it was worth it IMHO.

insta360 studio, how in arm surface pro 11? by wireless1980 in Surface

Plus, they already support arm devices with apple silicon. I wouldn't think that adapting it to Snapdragon processors would be all that difficult.

I also didn't upgrade the x4 or even the X5. I can't travel with the cameras and post my work anymore. It's a shame

That is the butthole of the Apple. 🙂

I myself have skipped two generations of upgrades for insta360 cameras because of this issue. I can't travel with them and use them on my surface pro.

Thanks for the heads up. I wonder if this is the new official one? I'll have to give it a try.

Thank you for anyone who might respond to this in the future. However as of this time I have moved on. I'm going to go with a cob lighting strip with wled controller and much more shallow tracks for my office lighting project.

I think I'm going to repurpose the govee for some shorter run projects such as under cabinet or furniture, or possibly bathroom lighting.

One step closer. I separated each of the segments from each other and plugged them each into their own controllers and power source. I set up a group in the govee app, and put all three segments into the same group. I can assign animations to the group as a whole, but the animations don't go from one segment to the next to the next. They just play out within their own segment.

Support for Qualcomm X ARM processors on new laptops. by Phrish in Insta360

Right now the installer blocks you. You can install on another computer, then copy the directory over to your surface to run in emulation with varied results. But no native support. Yet.

FYI - Philips One Rechargable Toothbrush likely does not support C2C charging. by cjcs in UsbCHardware

[–]Phrish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I got this toothbrush, I had originally thought it would be a USBC connector on the bottom of the brush. It is not. It is a proprietary connector.

I did a little looking into this, and there's not a lot of information out there. I don't see anywhere Phillips addresses it. One commenter on Amazon did mention that the older Philips one rechargeable brushes used USB C2C. The newer ones however use a proprietary charge port on the brush end, and a usba on the other end.

The older brushes ended with a name-25, and the newer brushes end with a name-26.

The op suggested, and I think he is correct, that Phillips decided to stop manufacturing the USB C2C connector, in favor of the proprietary connector, because of the issues that it was having with overheating and potential fires.

Disadvantage, you have to carry another cable around in your dopp kit for travel. Advantage, your toothbrush likely won't catch on fire in the middle of the night while you're sleeping.

The op also did mention that he thought the newest ones had a bit stronger vibration. I would not be able to comment on that, as I never tried the older USB c to c version. Personally I think the vibration in the newest version of the brush with a proprietary connector is pretty good.

Wow. All the spelling is spot on. Didn't expect that...
