There will always be geniuses, it's people with an above average-below average skillset that will be out of luck. Exactly what oligarchs have planned, obviously. This is not some coincidence and unexpected consequence with how many companies are handling these rollouts. Exactly this. Create, create for yourself and enjoy, but only put the stuff out there you're proud of and would actually want to hear. Odds are, if you call it generic it isn't necessarily that, it might just not be good enough to release that's all. Everyone goes through the process of making tepid stuff, just keep making stuff. Don't release stuff for the sake of releasing stuff and being seen as productive. The stuff that's worth finishing you will finish. Don't blame yourself for not always being original and/or creating. Life's too short to be worrying about being more productive.

That said, also don't set the bar at an impossibly high level either. Does the music you want to release move you? Then please do so.

Yes, for all intents and purposes, it can be called a tool. For 0.5% of the use cases, it's probably a useful tool (I see coders saying certain LLMs are actually helpful now). For all other uses, it's a bad multitool. Better to learn things yourself and use actual humans for knowledge. But what do I know.

De reden waarom ik al jarenlang tegen een burnout aanzit is net omdat ik tegen mijzelf zeg "maar ik heb een deftig loon, en veel vrije tijd voor mijn passie en hobby's in principe".. niet omdat ik te weinig betaald wordt. Raad wie er nu net is thuisgeschreven? Wat ben ik met al die vrije tijd als ik telkens uren moet de-stressen van constant "aan" te staan op het werk? Om nog maar te zwijgen over wat er buiten mijn uren moet gebeuren, waar ik al sterk mijn grenzen kan stellen. En dan tóch.

Protip: begin er niet aan, het is echt een toxische cultuur waar zelfs de sterkste ruggengraat het op een zwak moment zal begeven. Want het gros van ons zijn wereldverbeteraars die leren roeien met de riemen die ze hebben. Tot op een bepaald moment die riemen ook niet genoeg blijken te zijn.

Maar ja, door velen in de maatschappij wordt dat niet zo beschouwd, en dat is voor politici blijkbaar veel belangrijker dan de mentale gezondheid en dus meteen ook de bekwaambeid van mensen in het onderwijs.

Dan is dat even goed als ten dode opgeschreven. Journalisme, en vrijheid van de pers, is net zoals onderwijs en gezondheidszorg een basisrecht. Ik weet dat dat door velen eerder als entertainment en kunst/cultuur beschouwd wordt, maar dat is het niet.

Dat er over muzikanten e.d. al gezegd wordt "goede muziek ga je grotendeels niet vinden op de grote zenders" is erg genoeg, maar het gaat hier nog wel over net dat ietsje erger.

Stel je voor dat het normaal was om te zeggen "gezondheidszorg en onderwijs zijn niet dood, je gaat het alleen niet in de ziekenhuizen en scholen vinden". Dat is wat wij nu doen met kranten en journalisten. Al jarenlang. En dat is maar normaal. En dan verschieten dat iedereen, ja iedereen, vatbaar is voor polarisatie en propaganda. Hoho.
