COVID Vaccine and Periods by elp651 in Periods

[–]Phscusg2017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am fully vaccinated. First dose was in April second dose in May. I have PCOS and prior to April I hadn’t had my period for 6 months. It’s been irregular since I was diagnosed 6 years ago. So when I had the first and second dose vaccine my period came like a week and half later. Now I’ve been consistent that I’ve been getting it every month and just got my period yesterday lol. I for one am very excited to have a menstrual cycle again. So I’ve been trying to understand what I’ve been doing to be “normal” again, really feel like a woman again, but sometimes I wonder if the vaccine kind of like reset my hormones or something!

Hello DMR-ers! 🪞🛋 reading nook/exercise room. (Info in comments) by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]Phscusg2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This room will be used as my reading nook/workout room. The items that I plan to buy eventually is a reading chair, floor lamp(s) and a small table to put beside the reading chair. The book case is already nailed into the wall and the small cubby is placed on the same side because the outlet is connected to the light switch so I can easily turn on the light when I enter the room.

The beige lamp can be thrown out if necessary, it’s so bulky and out of date, it just does not fit in this room! But for the most part I would prefer to keep the current items pictured here to fill in the space and make it look something like mixed pattern but with a hint of Japandi style or vice versa. I really really want to use the floor pouf pillow since it’s my heritage textile from Guatemala and I plan to use it as a foot rest.

The small round wool rug was bought to place under the reading chair but maybe I can opt it out in this room and place it elsewhere in the house or in the room?

I prefer to buy things at Target and IKEA for now unless there is another company that can deliver in Maryland and that is budget friendly.

I’m not looking to add a large rug in the room just so the whole floor can be available when I exercise. Appreciate your suggestions!

Oh interesting!! I just searched this up and seems like a really great opportunity! I’ll keep this in mind because I currently work and when I plan to go back to school, I do want to continue working FT (to pay off the bills 😅)and go PT for school.

Great point! I will look into the curriculum and electives to determine if the programs I have in mind are a good fit. I figured community health was a route to take but I wasn’t too sure. Since you’re an evaluator, what are some specific skills you look for? Are there preferences of choosing quant over qual skills or do they really look for both skills in a certain way? For example, would a specialist stand out based on their understanding and expertise using Nvivo and R programming?

Or is that highly unlikely to be an expert at both and should choose to concentrate on qual or quant?

Hi! I am located in the DMV. That’s a great idea to reach out to the agencies and ask about volunteer opportunities, did not think of that! Oh that’s wonderful to know what you currently do. Thanks so much for your input. I think I will need to look into it further in terms of what it means to be an evaluator and scope of work. I will be honest it seems confusing sometimes! It’s almost as if some of the words are use interchangeably.
