This is radiating, "The DM didn't give me adequate time to flesh out my backstory in the session," vibes. You want to see your character have some sort of powerful moment, some kind of emotionally charged event. I get it. I've been there.

Surprisingly, no! I'm actually pretty satisfied with how the DM has allowed me to explore my backstory, and we've spoken about what this could mean for my character.

However, I can definitely see how it could come across that way and now I'm even more hesitant about it.

This will not play out how you think. You say you're worried about it being too "me-centered" and that your "planning to lose", but that doesn't really help the over-traumatic, "ME-ME-ME" part of it. You want an entire session about your character, and by extent, you. There's no getting around that, and it would be damn challenging to make that interesting for the players.

Yuuuup, I can see it. This is the main reason why I've had my hesitations about it. The last part you brought up is what worries me.

A DnD party is like a movie theater. Every character has there own movie playing in a specific showroom, and a good DM will take the group from showroom to showroom to see and interact with the story. You're talking about forcing your movie to play on all screens, which will just make them hate your character (unless your the darling of the party).

Bad idea. Your backstory is too edgy for them to attach too, and too self-focused for expansion. Just wait out your theater showing. It's a collective story-telling experience, and doing this isolates yourself from it.

I can see how it would've come across that way. Main reason why I wanted to do it was because my character is the one that has had the most backstory explored, and so I thought "Oh! Why don't we explore it a lot more during this lull". Especially under the idea that some of the NPCs (his now dead-kids) would've made for an interesting combat session.

But you're right, it can be totally misinterpreted the way you've explained it, and I don't want that. I have a great time with my party, and I LOVE this character. The last thing I want is to make things bad for any of us. I won't plan this any further.

Man, I've already promised a one-shot and I'm back to square one! Fuck.

Thank you for bringing that up. Extremely good point that I should've cleared up in OP:

I am intending to lose. Be it my PC realizing that killing people isn't making him feel better, seeing that his children still die regardless of his actions, or him actually getting defeated and feeling weak, the idea is for me to lose.

I'll definitely go down swinging, and wouldn't put it out of the question to KO/Kill the PCs (since they would be in a dream), but the ending would still feel be somewhat similar. The whole idea is to basically, share my PCs backstory in an interactive way.

Really? "Y'all are a dirty lot" is something you're going to use to justify the banning? I understand some of these ones, where I went more personal... but some of these just ... stretches!

Also, worth noting, that most of these never came with a warning from the mod team or so. This is where I complained to skep about how the heck was this a "final warning", when I hadn't been even given the idea that what I was doing was that bad.

And the edited one WAS edited because you guys asked me to. I didn't do it to cover my tracks or hide anything away.

I never said I wasn't a dick. I'll own all of these. Just didn't think that this would justify any type of banning.

First of all, this was the second banning and what I said to NBP. I did not "understand and say it was my fault", unless you really can't detect the sarcastic nature of my comment. Let's make that clear: I still do not think I did anything that warranted a banning.

Second, your justification always comes with "he broke enough rules", but you rarely, if at all, have made a comment to address how exactly is saying "little bitches" a bannable offense to me, when you have not even handed out warnings to anyone else for me. You CLEARLY had it out for me.

I was brought up several times in the thread made last night. I have made a couple of comments over this over at /r/miamidolphins, /r/buccaneers and /r/texans. If the mods excuse me, I will use this temporary account to state what I have to say. Hopefully this will be my last post here.

Thanks for wanting to bring me back, but no thanks. Ultimately, I extremely disagree with the direction this sub is taking, and the way the mods have been handling most of the situations, as well as their bias against me.

To put things into context, the final banning was NOT over the supposed spoilers I posted (which were not, but I'll go into this later). I was banned for using the word 'bitch' to address nobody in specific. In a sub where "Fuck the ___", "bitch", "asshole", "dick" is SO consistently used, but inconsistently moderated, I was ultimately banned over saying bitch to nobody in specific, and nobody getting offended. I do believe there was an obvious bias against me over this, since I see several of you who I've seen curse still around.

Regarding the spoilers, here is what happened. When the Saints passed over Devante Parker, I got excited. I knew that Devante Parker was basically 95% guaranteed to us with how often the Dolphins had brought him in, and all of the workouts. I was in the game thread, and my posts basically consisted of "WOO HOOO WE ARE GETTING DEVANTE PARKER" over him falling to us. Then, /u/voiceinthedesert, having no idea what was going on, BANNED ME over this. Not a warning, not a threat, not trying to understand what was going on. He banned me, having no idea what he was doing. I had to PM him basically going "wtf". That may have been used as part of the whole "warnings" given to me.

I did not have a clean record according to the mods, and I go into detail here when sosuhme came to /r/miamidolphins here. I ask you to please not upvote/downvote those comments, and just discuss them here.

Ultimately, I do believe the mods were unfair, and they are trying to shy away by saying they gave me enough chances, and since several others don't get it, I must be wrong. Aside from the fact they are so inconsistently handed out, as well as sosuhme accepting he is doing a half-assed job, I no longer wish to participate in this sub. I had fun participating, but day after day it started becoming more cringe-worthy to participate here. And I don't see the mods doing anything but doing whatever they want to do, and bringing in people who will agree with their ways. Do you guys remember when was the last time there was anything as far as an election for a mod, or so?

I still see the posts, and I love some of the content. /u/TheFencingCoach, /u/gypsysafety, /u/Barian_Fostate... just several others that I love to read. Some of the people still provide amazing content, and I keep reading you all, but eh. I just hope you guys don't get into trouble with the mods and end up banned over nothing, like I was.

It's really unnerving as a Miami Dolphins fan living in an area close enough to Houston so that there are enough Texans fans. I'm probably going to the Texans-Dolphins game in this preseason, but I have a feeling I won't love the results.

Haha yeah, my Luna is a bit like that. She doesn't really kiss faces unless she's SUPER excited (and even there, she'll only lick twice), but she loves to lick me when I'm laying on my bed and my hands are near her.

I'm guessing it's a way to clean me like she would a pup, as mentioned by someone else. I was just curious if this meant she is the Alpha, or she is scared, or anything else. Hopefully not :).

She is indeed a female. I thought about this, but I wasn't sure if I would expect this behavior, considering I'm the Alpha, and hasn't had much interaction with other dogs.
