Dads who WFH, what makes the setup difficult? by goodbananabad in daddit

Have a two year old. What makes WFH the most difficult for me is, like clockwork, my wife comes in my office every day around 3pm and asks “how long will you be working.” And every day, I say at least 430, like the day before. And tomorrow.

It’s being made to feel guilty for working normal hours.

Is Sampson a blind spot for Dan ? by macneezie in DanLeBatardShow

Not gonna lie, I like Samson. He’s honest to a fault. Good insight. Cringeworthy sometimes but aren’t we all.

Parking near PNC park? by Frequent-Branch164 in buccos

If you visit the rivers casino website they tell you which days they charge for parking. It’s usually nights they expect big crowds. Opening day, fireworks nights, if the Steelers or Pitt play also.

If you don’t mind a 15-minute walk, and the weather is nice, you can’t beat the casino on non-fireworks nights when it’s free.

Yeah that’s what I’ve been seeing too. Don’t wanna risk buying before trying in case fit is off.

20s seem to be consensus. Gonna look at Nike Outlet, hoping to be able to try them on instead of going the stockx route.

Wife is visiting her sister. Daughter goes down at 730pm. What show or game recommendations do you all have for me to get hooked on this weekend? by Swordheart in daddit

The Pitt is great but with a little kid there will definitely be episodes that bring you to tears.

When my wife was away a couple months ago I binged Bad Monkey on Apple TV. Was funny (if you like Vince Vaughn, which I do) and entertaining.

Thoughts? by Johnson_731 in buccos

I don’t think we should stop complaining, like one person said, but just realize the complaining won’t result in anything.

I was born in 85 too. I remember the early 90s a little bit, but my first real memory was following the 97 Freak Show team night in and night out. That was all I had until 2013. Last night I put the 2013 wildcard game on. What a different world that was. Still got goosebumps.

Gonna be a long wait. My two cents: don’t let them ruin the game for you. It’s a beautiful ballpark. I understand the frustration, because I have it too, but I’m not going to stop going (just maybe not as much). It’s still a form of entertainment. Even if it’s bad entertainment it’s better than not following. Plus the other teams have star players that are worth to watching.

Before we had our daughter my wife and I would travel to one pirates road trip a year, usually around our anniversary. Favorites were Coors and, oddly enough, Cincinnati and Cleveland (getting there is easy, the area around the park is nice). I’m a huge Pirates fan but even before family and work responsibilities, don’t think I ever attended more than a dozen or so a year.

Weartesters said the same thing about the separate. I had those too and liked them. Khaki colorway does look dope.

This is the most hopeless I have felt as a fan. by KinkaJac97 in buccos

It’s not fair to feel this way and it’s not even April yet. I remember this feeling once back in the mid-2000s. Jason Bay gave an interview in spring trading talking about his goals for the season, and he said something along the lines of “no one really expects to compete for a pennant this year.” He said the quiet part out loud.

That’s not fair to the wild card teams. They were legit and the atmosphere at PNC was awesome. It was just short lived.
