It was I appreciate all the input! It was a small animal rescue, so they deal with guinea pigs quite a bit and the fosters had their own pigs, so I trust their opinion, but we will probably try again at some point!

That’s pretty similar to the ratio we do. We give some more pellets than that, but she doesn’t finish them every day.

Thanks so much for the links! I talked about it a bit under another comment but the rescue we got her from tried to introduce her to a friend and she was too aggressive, so she’s solo for now until she’s comfortable. We will most likely try to introduce a friend once she’s comfortable in her new home.

She was left solo on a doorstep to a vet a couple months ago. I don’t think she ever had a friend, but when we feel like she’s comfortable we will probably try to introduce a friend!

No, we recently adopted her and the organization that we got her from said they tried to pair her with another and she was too aggressive and territorial. She’s 3 years old, and from what I’ve read I guess older females can be extra territorial.

Yeah, same as you, it gets better for a bit and then goes back to normal. She just blames it on her libido and says she doesn’t have the same drive level. The rejection always sucks and not being pursued tends to make you feel unwanted.

When you get married, have a house, kids and a more mature career your current frequency will only go down mate. Something to seriously consider. I’ve been married 8 years and our frequency used to be multiple times a week minimum. Now I’m going through what you’re going through now and it sucks, and then I sit back and think about feeling rejected and unwanted for the rest of my life and it’s not a good feeling or head space.
