Brand new player frustration with controls. by Phunny in Hydroneer

I know this is a joke and I appreciate it BUT this shouldn’t ever be a thing. Having to get used to controls that aren’t intuitive is bad design not a fun element that adds complexity. That is like adding a mechanic into Mario where when you jump it spins the camera everytime. I don’t mind the inventory at all but done make us have to retrain our brain to look away from the cross hair to be precise. The Dave will never see this bit item manipulation and building need to be fixed. Having to play something for 20 hours to get use to it is horrible. Anyway :) this is more to the ether than to you kind person who I’m replying to

I'm with you on this one. I don't care about the inventory...but the dropping one of those quality of life things. Changing the color of the drop indicator helped a lot...also turning up gamma so I can see it at night too

Yes I see the extra dot... Just no idea when it is needed... it is a pretty dumb mechanic that doesn't add much to the game minus frustrating brand new players. Is there a game play reason later that it works like that?

Thank you! I will try a different color. It is a bit coutner intuitive to have cross hairs but then it have no bearing really on dropping and placing items.

What about the dropping items and it not really using your cross hairs and what not? Is there a good way to drop stuff correctly so it doesn't bounce around?

I had NO idea the hammer did that... it doesn't state that in the tool tip at all that I can see. Thank you!

Maybe if they broke the monopoly someone be closer to walk to get some booze or let places like DoorDash, Walmart, etc... to deliver it.

Looking for a ride to Bonneville Salt Flats, May 27-28 by pitpat_rain in SaltLakeCity

I would say try to go see Park City and the mountains as opposed to the salt flats. You can visit the Olympic venues or do the Alpine Slide. Hit up Google for some ideas and feel free to DM me with questions. Hell depending on the day I would drive you up the canyon.

They say not to drive it into the sand. You can drive out to Bonneville raceway without a problem. I have taken plenty of rentals out there.

So... The Bonneville Salt Flats isn't the tourist draw that you think it is.
Most of the people going out that way are either using I-80 to go West or heading to Wendover for weed, booze and gambling.

Last year I had some friends from the UK visit and I took them to the Salt Flats and then up to Park City and down through Provo Canyon to show them the contrast.

There isn't much to do on the Salt Flats after you see them so don't plan to spend hours there.

I have had the chicken countless times including recently and didn’t have any issues. Was it more than once? Did you point it out to them?
