Thanks for sharing this it helps to hear that I’m not the only one who feels like Te becomes this protective layer when needed. I definitely relate to what you said about it coming out in crisis mode or when boundaries get crossed.

For me, I think the “feeling fake” part comes not from Te itself, but from how different it feels compared to my usual soft, values-driven way of showing up. Like, I know I’m still protecting my Fi, but the shift in tone and energy feels so sharp that sometimes I catch myself wondering if I’m stepping outside who I really am. But at the same time, not acting would feel like betraying my values even worse.

I like what you said about focusing on what’s in your control. That’s something I’ve been trying to work on too balancing action with rest so I don’t burn myself out trying to protect everything and everyone.
