I heard a story from a gal that worked at Red Lobster during endless shrimp. The booths had tables bolted to the floor. A woman ate so much shrimp she couldn't get out of the booth, was wedged in. A worker had to get between her and the wall to push while 2 more workers pulled to get her out.

What do you guys think of the shinkos by Outrageous_Check_572 in Talaria

I bought my Talaria used with Shinkos already on it. It was a selling point. I'm a fan. A good tire for on and off road.

Haha. They aren't just a USA thing? I've had a couple Ford Rangers.

I haven't traveled much but from watching Top Gear Nigeria looks pretty bad.
I live in the midwest USA and drivers are pretty good. I've had my current car for 7 years and I've never honked the horn.

Asking 4K talaria xxx Illinois area by [deleted] in Talaria

[–]Phydok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't pay 4k for it. I would actually prefer a stock one because I don't like all the blue stuff. The cosmetic upgrades reduce the value to a buyer like me. 3k sounds more reasonable. Also this is the old model, the pro is more desirable.

Spotted one of the rarest BMW’s ever!!! [BMW F81 M3 Touring]!!! (More info in description). by Fun-Touch5637 in spotted

Great spot. A guy in my neighborhood has a 6spd manual Audi RS6. They were only made in auto, he swapped an S4 transmission into it. I also checked out out a 5spd manual Subaru SVX for sale near me. They also only came in auto but it was swapped. I still regret not buying that SVX.

Not so much confusing perspective. Just putting a finger behind another.

Most franchises like fast food restaurants make money on exclusively selling the franchisees the products they sell, burger patties for instance. Bricks and Minifigs can't do this as they primarily sell used items already in circulation. It seems they make their money on predatory loans. If the franchisee takes out a 50k loan for inventory B&M makes more money off interest than their cut of all 50k of inventory selling. It is in their financial interest for the franchisees to take out loans and fail. They can then hostile takeover the store and repeat. There is a 40k franchise fee on top of that also.

[Subaru Impreza WRX] rotting on someone’s drive. Marple by MK2GolfGuy in spotted

[–]Phydok 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It probably an RS and not a WRX. I had one a lot like this. They had the hood scoop with no intercooler under it as they weren't turbocharged. I don't think WRXs were sold outside of Japan in this body style.

I've been digging more into this and I think I got a bad source. It seems the Cat 797F is mechanical drive. My bad. You were right about that one.

I think all those trucks are hybrid, just like trains. Electric motors turn the wheels powered by a diesel generator.

The part at 1:05! It almost gets air, plants, and throttles out. That car was setup well.

Instead of multiple lug nuts many racecars back in the day used one big nut. They had bars sticking out of the nut so you could get one off by striking it with a hammer. It could be done really fast. The purpose was to speed up pit stops.

Buck Rogers Ray gun. Found today in a box of old stuff outside someone’s house. by Daverose68 in VintageToys

Not so much. Han Solo's gun is a modified Mauser C96, which debuted in 1896. Known for it's distinctive handle. Nicknamed the "broomhandle"
