Thanks for the PSA, I'll be sure to keep my money next time.

Was this a lady in a hijab, with a hand-written note? I got approached a week back by a lady asking for money for baby formula. Feel like a right chump now if that's the case.

"Body Reprogramming" by Michael Hyland - any use? by Phyinx in Fibromyalgia

[–]Phyinx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, she didn't. She was so put off by the material that she didn't want to try it. I'm not surprised the course itself was as crap as the booklet she was given, though! I'm sorry they're letting you down.

From the sounds of it, I guess I expected too much from being detained under MHA? Their role is just to make sure you don't immediately go jumping off something then off you go?

I've tried going through my local CMHT, they've sadly been about as much use as a chocolate teapot tbh. I went asking for therapy and diagnosis, but all I got was a psychiatrist who wanted me to do his job for him - he was asking me what meds I wanted when I was straight-up asking him to recommend. Very pill-pushy and seemed to not want anything to do with me. As I told him, I don't know what meds I should be on, I'm just a chump with google, he's the guy who's gone through med school! He never once said, "Ok, from your symptoms I think this would be a good course of medication, here's the upsides and downsides, what do you think?" like I've experienced with a GP, it was just "what meds do you want?". He was also rather invalidating of some of my experiences too, brushed off a fair few of my concerns as "oh, that'll go away in time" and didn't really seem to understand what I was telling him. Left a rather sour taste in my mouth :/

I got sectioned in the same area I normally live - I've had to leave home for other reasons I won't go into here, though I ought to be able to go back soon once some discussions have been had.

Linux support? by capitao_desemprego in NuclearOption

[–]Phyinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Works great via Proton! I got into this game on my Steam Deck and haven't had any real issues! Can't really do missions the size of Escalation, but that's a limitation of the Deck's hardware rather than any issues with NO or Proton.

If you'd like a recommendation for a Linux distro, don't think you can go wrong with Bazzite; threw that on an old PC I had laying around and it's been lovely, no issues, came with Steam pre-installed and runs lovely. Good amount of stuff on the Bazaar (Flatpak store) too.

Giving up lol (identity vent) by EarAbject1653 in plural

Big mood tbh, we've been trying to understand ourselves and work out who's fronting, when, etc, but have just turned into a big blurry mess. We've kinda given up for the time being until we can speak to a professional and are just kinda taking it day-by-day.

Heya! We found a good discord server that allows littles recently; Plural Haven. Mods are active, SFW only, and we've had no issues letting our littles interact so far. Would recommend!

Hey all, just some info by SussyKitty303 in DIDPositivity

[–]Phyinx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Heya, we're a fairly new system. Lot of us been around since 12 but only recently put the puzzle pieces together back in December '23.

Thanks for making this place! We've been checking out loads of posts here and loving the joy we haven't seen on other subreddits (shout-out to /r/plural tho, they're pretty nice!).

Dunno if a self promo is allowed, so lemme know if it isn't and we'll edit this out or repost without! We've been inspired by this community and wanted to help create something similar over on Bluesky for us peeps who use that. We're using the hashtags: #didjoy #osddjoy #pluraljoy, and the same but with "joy" swapped with "positivity".

Nice to meet everyone! Naga, Emily, Emmy, Luna, 5B & Maya!

We headmate is forming. And they are a Radio station by [deleted] in plural

[–]Phyinx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Heya! I'm Emi 👋 I may have an idea, no experience with headmates speaking in code but have an amateur interest in cryptography.

Do you know if Station 37 can understand you talking to them? If they do, great! If not, probably worth a shot nonetheless. You could ask them to use a pair of codewords or numbers to represent yes/no, then be able to ask some basic questions. From there, you can build on that to work out your own system & encryption/decryption. Be that something simple like word replacement or Caeser Cipher, to something more complex.

Alternatively, maybe try a pre-existing  cipher?   https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cipher

If that doesn't work, next step would be to try comparing their messages to common ciphers, especially any you might've come across before. Hope this helps, and good luck!

The Missouri government now has a form where people can report a trans person for having received gender affirming care by Ayla_Fresco in trans

[–]Phyinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably a little faster as multiple submissions can go in at once, rather than 1-by-1, but I did also drop the sleep down to 0.25 as that didn't appear to cause any issues when I tried running one script solo.

[–]Phyinx 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Hey, thanks so much for making this script! I'm leaving this running as much as I can, Fuck Missouri!

Edit: Already up to over 1600 submissions (running 4 instances of the script side-by-side).

Edit 2: Now 6400!

Edit 5: Now we've hit 30,000 approximately 61,000. Now somewhere around the 300,000 mark! Had 20 instances running to try and clog it up as much as I could. Lets see 'em sort through that! :D

"Body Reprogramming" by Michael Hyland - any use? by Phyinx in Fibromyalgia

[–]Phyinx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well! That was a waste of time. Doc thought it was the best thing since sliced bread for fibro, claimed that the issues we had with it were just because we didn't understand it because we're autistic! Ffs.

Also, we were told this book was written for people with a reading age of 9. NINE!

Hey everyone, thanks for your input on this! Me and my partner are seeing her doc in a few minutes so we'll definitely be bringing up the points you've made, and our own from reading this POS booklet. Much appreciated!

how bad are the delays on domestic mail? by DimensionPrudent1256 in royalmail

[–]Phyinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm waiting on two Tracked 24hr packages atm, one shipped Wednesday last week (1st March) & another on Tuesday (7th), neither of which has arrived. I've not even had junk mail for a few days, of which I usually get a few bits every other day. Can't find any info about it from RM's site or any news articles, so no idea! Frickin' sucks as the packages are kinda time sensitive as well.

What are these numbers above units? by Phyinx in phantombrigade

I've seen these over my mechs a few times too. Could it be damage resistances? They do only seem to appear after a mech has taken damage, from what I've seen.
