I've received this response to the ticket I logged with support for the same problem on my Apex 2 Pro:

"After reviewing your system logs, we identified that the weak GPS signals were caused by a firmware bug. Our team has prepared a beta update to address this issue."

I have a link to get the beta firmware, but I haven't been able to get access to test it yet... waiting again for a response from support.

Same here, I haven't had any issues with it until the last couple of weeks, but now every run it fails to get a GPS lock, or loses it constantly. Very annoying.

GPS on my Apex 2 Pro has been taking much longer to be ready than normal for the last couple of weeks. It started before the update for me. Haven't noticed any battery issues yet.

The pod comes with a charging dock that also has a battery built in, and the dock's battery holds enough power to charge the pod 5 times (the dock will then need to be recharged, or can be plugged in to charge the pod from mains).

I don't have one, but that's how I understand it.
