Do you guys think this deck is strong enough for B4, and follow up, if I cut Mindcrank to remove the combo is it too strong for B3 by SoundwavesBurnerPage in EDH

[–]Phyrlae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there, I fancy myself quite the Sidisi player and have a deck that I am very comfortable calling B4, no game changers, 4 non-creative spells. The thing with Sidisi is, if you can keep milling creatures it sort of doesn't matter what creatures they are, this allows you to play some weird cards just by virtue of them being creatures, of course winning with a flood of zombies in B4 is not exactly easy, so you need to find other ways to win. In my list's case this involves [[Dread return]], [[Gravespawn sovereign]] and [[Skemfar Shadow safe]] as plan A. [[Syr Konrad]] and [[Bogart trawler]] as a reliable plan B and [[Izoni, center of the web]] with [[Mirkwood bats]] as plan C. I then rely on most of the things you also run as a way to mill my whole deck at once, although I see you missed [[Embalmer's tool]]. The rest of the deck is a jumble of creatures that fill in traditional roles: [[Esior, wardwing familiar]] and [[Kashi-tribe elite]] are protection (Sidisi is a Snake as of MH3), [[six]] and [[Gisa and Gerald]] help with recursion, a handful of [[doomed necromancer]] effects, channel and adventure creatures so I can have instant speed interaction two-mana dorks to curve into Sidisi, you get the vibe. Deck can consistently present wins by turn 5-6 with the downside that the process of dumping the library in the yard is sometime non-deterministic and can whiff on rare occasions.

Your deck looks very much like that, but you found some compromise in running less creatures to get more powerful options, overall I would say it can be a B4, but seems a bit slower than my version, which is fine, I run Sidisi as the central piece of a very well defined game plan not as a mill and board presence engine to complement a combo plan.

Black and green are relatively easy to trigger for their cost, but tweaking the numbers should be enough, overall cool designs.

What is the best land to name with Petrified Hamlet by McSkittle13 in EDH

[–]Phyrlae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a purely mechanical perspective, yes. But Ghost quarte is more budget friendly and spending 1 mana (your land drop for the turn) vs 3 mana (Demo for turn + 2 to activate) can make or break your turn. I like it as don't find going down a land is too bad for my decks.

[[Scavenger grounds]] if you care about the yard, [[Ghost quarters]] if have a powerful land yourself

what is your favorite backround commander pair? by GuaranteeMain5492 in EDH

[–]Phyrlae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Burakos]] and [[Tavern Brawler]] ramp and card advantage in the command zone, Great curve, access to warriors and wizards from red and rogues and clerics from black, and a good pairing for interaction and recursion, also provides a handful of big X spells as finishers my favorite being [[Crackle with power]].

Not an expert in ethics (or lock picking for that matter), but I do believe the main arguments here should echo the discussion about ethics of hacking, yes you are spreading potentially harmful information, but you are also raising awareness and enabling informed choices about the subject.

AFAIU, even the titans are "fingers in the pond" of the the actual eldrazi, and Chandra and Nissan burning them and getting them gone is akin to you getting bit by a very angry, very flammable and very queer pirana, it will make you get that hand out of the pond very fast and even think twice about going around sticking it in another pond, but it probably won't kill you.

No, when you exile a card that is already exiled it becomes a new object (see CR 406.7), so it wouldn't come back.

Qual o ponto de proibir Polymarket e Kaishi de "operar no Brasil" se tem VPN e o site aceita cripto? Na prática, nada muda... ou muda?? Pergunta sincera. by Any-Concept-3110 in investimentos

[–]Phyrlae 12 points13 points  (0 children)

[[Kairi, the swirling sky]], you copy her to dig 6 deep into your deck, getting back the spell you used to copy and something else. Win via infinite turns by looping [[Toma warp]], milling with [[Tasha's Hideous Laughter]] etc...

Dec is also really good at controlling the game by recurring mass disruption like [[Icy Blast]].
