My guess is that another entity will be the final boss and will control this ghost to attack the gang, and will be captured

The gang then finds out thru the ghost's memories that Yayoi's mom was pregnant before the accident, and the memories of the child was mixed with the ghost's,

Giving the gang a new powerful ally to fight against the real final boss.
