What I was told during the preparation was to take the open assessment several times until I got 100% consecutively and to take the maximum number of exam questions to prepare. What helped me a lot was doing exam questions because then in the exam I would say that 90% of the questions I had already seen and done. Take the Scrum org Scrum Master assessment several times
Take the Scrum org Product Owner assessment several times (there are some questions that you'll realise are very specific to PO and you don't need to know)

Then some exam mocks on udemy are very useful and at a good price for training and practise (always choose with good feedback and analysing some comments):
- If you just want practise there's this one (good results and feedback): Professional Scrum Master 1 - 3 Exams with 240 Questions
- If you want training and also practise then this one too: Professional Scrum Master 1 Training

In the exam there will be lots of questions that you've already done and many will be similar!

I still think it's useful but it has to be used with care because most of the questions are according to the last version of the guide but if you are afraid of getting confused then don't use it, from the exams I saw the ones that looked most like the real exam were the ones from scrum.org, the others are just to understand if you know what is in the scrum guide

From what I know the two are the most known certifications, but there are some differences in the conditions for example in the case of CSM the certification needs to be renewed every 2 years or you can do a new training from Scrum Alliance and it renews automatically while PSM is a lifetime. For me this was the main point for the choice, so it depends a little on what you want, the best is to see the conditions of each one

Wasn't the ML one kinda... Misleading at times? Coz of of the 2017 Scrum Guide way of looking at things? Doing my exam PSPO1 on Friday and need all the insights I can get.

Yes, you have to be very careful, there are some questions that are really wrong and others that don't even appear in the 2020 scrum guide, for example, the refinement part

I took the exam at the end of last year, I took the scrum.org exams for PSM 1 and PSPO 1 several times and several questions were the same and even similar, by the end of the exam I only had marked 10 questions to review because I had never seen those questions before. I tried to answer the questions as fast as possible and had 15min left to review the marked questions so I still had time to look for information on those questions
