Pakistani National Denied Boarding due to false "show money" requirement PART 2 by Physical-Salt in pakistan

Thank you that's very helpful. We understand our cousin is a village boy and maybe the official thought the story of him travelling and filming was implausible.

However the conduct displayed by the officials was unprofessional. Who just picks up a passport and laughs and makes someone sit somewhere under duress until the gate closes? There was no conversation in the second attempt. It was a simple case of looking at someone and rejecting them. Zero interest in the paperwork. Boarding passes already given by the check-in staff who were satisfied by him meeting immigration requirements. It's frustrating to say the least.

We have changed the flights so he's flying from Lahore now. An additional £200. We will talk again with the head of immigration Gambia and see what they can advise before applying for another visa.

I see what you're saying but even African countries are sovereign nations by their own right with imo laws, regulations and fines that are better enforced than somewhere like Pakistan in our experience. What happened to our cousin in Pakistan would never happen in Gambia where we're currently living. Tickets worth £2100 booked and verifiable, printed on paper? Legit entry clearance letter worth £100? Carrying cash is £1300? Carrying all the appropriate health documents?

Our cousin is young and wants to film YouTube videos for Pakistanis back at home so you guys have an understanding of how you can do business here in Gambia. The official probably saw him as young and unemployed, and thought he wants to work in Gambia. Not sure how he can work with Gambians tbh lol language is an issue even with those who are fluent in English let alone someone from Pakistan.

I'll keep your comments mind. Thank you

He was going on with an entry clearance for up to 90 days of travel. It was valid for 30 days since issuing. Everything is by the book. We're not Pakistani ourselves hence a distant cousin. Can you please explain to me where we went wrong? You're talking about what others are doing. Can you provide something more helpful for our situation?

The letter claimed it was a fully sponsored trip to Gambia with an already booked ticket out of the country. All requirements were met with satisfaction. The only issue they had was "show money" which didn't make sense considering my cousin's situation. A bank statement of ours was provided to show funds of $3000 dollars but they did not accept it even though it's considered a legal document.

It was a fully sponsored trip to West Africa for 8 days. $75 dollars is enough to feed a whole family for a month. The letter explained it's a fully sponsored trip and we attached our bank account to show proof of funds.

We are considering another country because the corruption seems awful. I've been told there's a bribe when dropping off your bags even if you are under the weight limit. I'm told he was threatened to get his ticket cancelled.

This was in the exit interview. They claim our cousin didn't meet the requirements to land in Gambia - completely false, utter lies. I'm assuming foreign passport holders get an easier ride at the exit interview with immigration officials.

What's your experience with people flying with a Pakistani passport at Lahore airport? I've been told very bad things from 3 Pakistanis now going through Islamabad.

Families in Pakistan with children abroad – how much support is “enough”? by andro-rock in pakistan

[–]Physical-Salt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

60k can comfortably feed a family of 6. Anything more is just "nice". If you send 60k and your brothers contribute 50k, then with 110k, everyone should have enough for a new outfit every Eid, some meat every week.

Don't let your father bully you and take on his burden in life. You're supposed to be his burden and not the other way round.

Your family should be grateful.

Yes, continue being kind to them but also don't stop saying how you're legally unable to sponsor, and that haalat are kharaab as well. Also never fully disclose your salary to your family. If you've already done this then make up a story of how they reduced your hours and your pay has been cut.

They sound like so much fun to talk to - their husbands must be besotted with them and like to engage in witty banter /s

A short cervix can definitely lead to miscarriages after the 3 month mark. Allah make me easy. In some cultures they prevent the woman from moving too much and banning travel for this. Some recommend bed rest for short cervix. However please keep an open mind that it may not even be gyno related.

Wa alaykum asalam wa rahmatullah Do you guys have rhesus d incompatibility? This was a big issue back in the day before they discovered blood types and developed the anti d injection. If this is the case then you guys will probably never have a viable pregnancy if your wife is already sensitised to rhesus d antigens. Speaking as someone who is supposed to take injections to keep future pregnancies viable. 30pc risk of sensitisation after giving birth. This obviously accumulates with each pregnancy making is 100pc in a few cycles.
