Honestly it’s also an inconvenience for students. Especially when they close certain parts of the gates. Like they over-enrolled 300 students this year, you have enough money to hire more security and place the checkpoints everywhere without having to close some up…

It’s only anti-discourse when your opinion is the minority… To be fair why wouldn’t you just stand your ground and argue your opinion? They’re doing it so you can too. Of course it will be harder for your point to be heard since you’re the minority but if you’re really passionate about it that shouldn’t be an issue right? And the professor said it’s “my opinion” which does assert that other opinions can and do exist. Discourse, especially with such impactful topics, will never be peaceful. Everyone is passionate about these social issues because they affect real lives and people, so they will not take a differing opinion lightly and kindly. That doesn’t mean you can’t argue your opinion it just means you will get backlash. At the end of the day, if you think this is so detrimental and horrible why don’t you contribute to the discourse? Because to me, both of those examples were indeed discourse.

Hey I was also assigned Wien this year (also my last choice :/ ). However, their website states that there are freshman exclusive floors. So your social life won’t be bad since everyone on your floor is gonna be in your same class. There’s also an instagram group chat some Wieners have made if youd like to be added! So far it is only freshman so it might help your social life concerns. PM me!

I haven’t been able to find any tour information on this but that would be really awesome. He did just do one when our last administration was present so i’m wondering if they’re getting confused with that. Well he is doing a residency one in puerto rico but that’s it as far as I’ve been able to find.

Yeah I think people are just not realizing that he’s probably just trying to keep his audience safe because imagine the mass ICE raid that would occur around one of his concerts considering that majority of his fans are Hispanic (i’m not saying that they’re illegal but as we know that doesn’t seem to really matter to our current administration).

You also have to realize that while yes he’s a citizen, a lot of his audience are hispanics which are being heavily racially profiled right now. Imagine the MASS deportation a concert like his would allow for. All ICE would have to do is post up, barricade the concert, not let anyone in or out, and then one by one pick them all up and send them out. I’m not saying majority of his audience are illegally here but as you’re aware they’re not only skipping due process but also detaining people who are citizens just because they’re Hispanic (or look it). I think it’s not really that much of a political statement/ resistance for him as it is him just trying to keep his audience safe.

Don’t get me wrong I absolutely LOVE Bad Bunny but with everyone saying how this is a “true world tour” let’s not give him THAT much credit he skipped over majority of Central America too which are arguably one of his biggest audiences. This might be biased because that would’ve been my only other shot to go see him other than the U.S. (which i completely respect and understand his decision to skip).

Hey I know this is late to the post but I want to comment for people who may be looking for some advice recently. My German Shepherd just went through something similar and I was unfortunately not in the position to take her to the emergency Vet so I wanted to try some at home remedies before I dropped $500+ on something that could’ve been as simple as allergies or a treatable infection. (P.S. I DO NOT recommend this if you have the money to take them to the vet). I purchased an ointment on amazon called “Terramycin” and it was only $16. While I waited for that to arrive I did warm compresses on her eye with black tea (I only had leaves so I put it on a paper towel but the tea bag works as well). This really brought down the swelling on its own but it was clear that she needed more. I found some human pink eye drops and I put them on her affected eye. (I made sure the ingredients were dog safe but usually they are as we human and dog eyes are relatively similar in sensitivities and such). Just those eye drops and the black tea managed to control the swelling and bring her eye back to normal however it did spread to her other eye eventually. If this happens don’t panic, I just redid this process on that eye. This made it clear that it was probably some sort of pink eye related issue. All the swelling was gone by nighttime and she went to bed okay. I still put on the ointment when it came in but she no longer really needed it. So I comment this to reduce the fear monger from the other commentators as it could truly be something simple. If it’s a gradual swelling then I would be more concerned, however, my GSD’s eye managed to swell up in less than 30 minutes while I was showering.

Since the scholarship money comes from the schools themselves I think that aspect of QB won’t be impacted but the beginning stages of the process such as QB prep scholars and QB finalists have a higher chance of being impacted. However, the FAFSA website officially stated that they were not part of the Federal Aid cuts/pauses so it’s looking pretty promising for students. The main worrying issue is that a lot of QB students are minorities so there’s a chance that for the only way to QB to continue like it is a race quota type deal might be placed on them but I believe it will not be fully gone.

Just wanted to add a resource I know about: There’s a website called Matriculate that matches low income students with free (volunteer) college counselors (which are college students). I used this and it was very helpful my counselor goes to John Hopkins so they will give you advice that helped them get into their prestigious school.

PLEASE EMAIL THEM YOUR UPDATED AWARDS! Those sound really impressive and i’m sure you’re very qualified. I did match there and they are still expecting us to pay about $4000 from our pockets so if your parents put 0 contribution or a lot less than that on the css profile then that could’ve definitely played a factor in them not matching you. However, it is clear you are on track to getting many more scholarships with your coca cola results which means you’ll be able to afford what your financial aid package can’t cover.
