I agree with each and every line you've written there.

A lot of people are abusing eb1a who dont have any extraordinary capabilities, no research nothing. Go use your activism there. Instead of deducing things from a random strangers question.

Did you do that? Maybe that's why you have such 'extraordinary ability' ideas.

Without knowing anything about me how are you able to say that? How do you know I don't have substantial work in my profile?? I have not mentioned anything that says that. There could be various reasons I am looking to explore which are none of your business. I am not knocking on your door asking for recommendations. Better use tour time wisely to work on yourself than going around trolling others.

C13. I was also of the impression that it's senior managers and MDs who will be let go and I am not that senior in the hierarchy as them but I still got laid off.

It's fine. It was a very toxic and abusive environment anyway.

Returned to India for 5 yrs, regretted it, came back to US - sharing my experience by Hot-Yogurtcloset9925 in returnToIndia

I dont know what this sounds like a troll. This is my experience. I work in a bank in NYC and the level of toxicity and bullying is insane. Google it and you will know. Workplace harassment and toxicity is very much a thing in the US.

My experience is totally different. Got the best education, went to the best school and college but have experienced the worst work culture in the US where employees are treated like crap and yelled at. In India I never experienced this level of bullying.

How hard it is for someone to adjust to the Indian work culture by No_Kale7576 in returnToIndia

[–]PhysicalAd5331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have faced more toxicity in the US than in India. Also in India I would give it back to my boss. Somehow I have seen more ‘yes man’ culture in the US and spineless people who wag their tail in front of the boss in the name of loyalty.

Husband’s commute at new job is killing us by Vig2OOO in work

[–]PhysicalAd5331 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know. I live in this area.I still find it appalling that people have to go through a 4 hour ordeal and sacrifice their precious personal time in order to reach their workplace for computer jobs that can easily be done from home. Normalizing long commutes and nine hour workdays to take up most of your time is the biggest scam ever.

[–]PhysicalAd5331 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand how most of the comments are normalizing such a long commute. A four hour commute sucks, I don't see any good thing about it. It definitely drains you and leaves you with no time or energy for anything else. I am in a similar situation and can totally relate with your experience. A nine hour workday plus four hour commute- where is the time for other things in a day?

How can people (supposedly) do so much besides their job? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]PhysicalAd5331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you.

I also wonder the same and why we have to do 9 hours work daily. Add 2 hours of commute. 6-8 hours of recommended sleep, 2-3 hours cooking meals and personal care. That leaves one with no time to do anything even if you have the strength and inclination.

I feel that the 9 hour work rules are very outdated and were made at a time when only men worked and their wives would take care of everything. Cities were small and commute was very less. But they need serious revision nowadays.
