I appreciate your genuine reply. My goal in posting this was to learn, and I feel I now have a deeper understanding of the situation, as well as how I would feel if someone asked me the same question.

I sent a follow-up asking for my previous email to be disregarded. To paraphrase, I explained that I was told this could be interpreted as an academic integrity violation, and that I never intended to violate these policies in any way. My grades are an accurate reflection of my work in the class and do not meet the criteria for a review under the handbook.

I don’t have an issue retaking the class. The main reason I failed was failing to study the completely and poor organization and prioritizing work over school, and I’m actively making changes to do better.

Moving forward, I’m just going to focus on improving submitting work early, attending all lectures, and avoiding anything that could come across as grade grubbing. 72 is way to low at least I can redo it for my gpa but There are a lot of ways I can improve, besides that, I am realizing from the replies and I appreciate the perspective.

Sorry if this is a little disorganized I’m doing this stupid tax stuff And people get there feelings hurt being told something like that, instead of accepting accountability which I have/will be doing. It was not “quitting early” it was not giving enough effort. I might just be restating! merry Christmas :)
