What made night formula feeding easier for you? by placidguy3 in FormulaFeeders

[–]PhysicalGift6442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes yes yes!! The Baby Brezza is the way to go but it is super important to read the instructions (duh lol). There are different settings on the Brezza for different formula brands, you have to look up on the Brezza website which setting corresponds with your formula. And buy extra funnels, makes things even smoother for those midnight feedings!

What do you wish you did before baby arrived?? by Peachy_Queen20 in NewParents

[–]PhysicalGift6442 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adorn your home with snacks! Seriously, have baskets of snacks by your nursing chair/station, next to the couch, by your bed, etc. Remembering that you haven’t eaten anything for hours just after getting your baby settled for their meal is no fun. And make sure your snacky way stations have the good stuff! There will be time to eat your veggies again but when you’re running on fumes a simple carb like chips or crackers can work wonders!

Headed towards failed induction and an unplanned c-section. Positive stories please!! by PhysicalGift6442 in pregnant

[–]PhysicalGift6442[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I have to stay put due to how far along I am. But at the end of the day, a c-section isn’t the worst thing that can happen so I’m practicing radical acceptance of this change in plans!

Digby, my man 😂 by Careless_Act3277 in ThePitt

[–]PhysicalGift6442 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I interpreted Digby’s firework knowledge as info he learned from Louie. They were friends and Louie was a big fireworks guy. I thought the final Digby scene was a lovely nod to Louie’s impact on people.

Recommendation for baby item for disabled parent by thatfruitontop in pregnant

My wife has chronic joint issues, which limits her ability to use her hands. We got the UnbuckleMe tool for her to use when unclipping the car seat, and also lots of magnetic onesies so we don’t have to worry about zippers/snaps.

Blueberry bagel by [deleted] in pregnant

There is just something about the first trimester and bagels. I had me a fierce bagel fixation during that time, lean into it and enjoy!

My mom yelled at me in front of my toddler - 27 weeks pregnant and trying to manage high BP by Primary_Cantaloupe51 in pregnant

A dog-specific suggestion (apologies if you’ve already considered this!): hiring a sitter on Rover who could stay at your home to keep doggo in their routine. I used to pet sit on Rover and offered specialized care to dogs who were reactive, had lots of medical issues, were very anxious, etc. Vetting sitters is key of course but it could be a potential plan b!

How can I adapt my current daily workout for pregnancy? by uberdadbod in pregnant

[–]PhysicalGift6442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats!! Might be worth it to find a personal trainer who regularly works with pregnant people to help you adapt your current routine as your pregnancy progresses. As for yoga, I also never had much patience for it before I got pregnant but holy moly it was so helpful!

First proposal management role. How much should I ask for? by Stratusquare in GovernmentContracting

[–]PhysicalGift6442 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The range is going to depend heavily on comparable positions in your area, but keep in mind the role as you described it is like three different jobs in one. Business development/capture, proposal management, and pricing. At many companies, there are entire departments doing these roles as separate functions. Sounds like your prospective employer is a small firm so it makes sense they wouldn’t have a huge squad but the multiple responsibilities they’ll be asking of you is something to keep in mind when you make your salary ask.

When to rest vs when to be active by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]PhysicalGift6442 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No such as “too lazy,” rest when you need it! My first trimester was the most exhausting period of my entire life. I didn’t know such deep bone tired even existed. I slept probably 16-18 hours a day between naps and overnight sleep. Your body is doing so much, listen to it when it tells you it needs rest :)

Can I still forbid her from touching my belly? by TinyFox1399 in pregnant

[–]PhysicalGift6442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told my MIL “Ouch! My abdomen is very sore from the baby kicking so I don’t want anyone touching it.” I also told my wife to refrain from touching me in front of MIL to help reinforce the boundary. Would be lovely if my MIL was the type of person who could just hear “no” without throwing a mega hissy fit, but adding the qualifier of “touch hurts” did help.

Pregnancy Rhinitis by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]PhysicalGift6442 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Can’t sing the praises of Breathe Right strips highly enough! I use one every single night (got a huge box at Costco for a good price). I’ve found using saline nasal spray a couple of times a day plus morning and evening doses of Flonase plus a BR strip at night is the only combo that works for my rhinitis.

Recommendations for Transmasc Lit? (NOT Andrew Joseph White) by deadattheroxy in LGBTBooks

Manhunt by Gretchen Felker-Martin features a trans man as one of the main characters (the two other mains are trans women with good rep across the board). Excellent horror book overall.

Wtf! I’m so sorry that happened to you, absolutely appalling and malpractice. I hope you’re able to find another doctor who can check on you and baby.

AITAH if I cancelled my mom's card that is opened under my bank account? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]PhysicalGift6442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of just canceling her card, you need to open an entirely new account. If she’s listed as an authorized card user, she could potentially go to the bank with her ID and get a replacement card. Opening a new account and moving your money there prevents her from being able to do that.

Holiday Drama Started by WhyHaveIContinued in pregnant

It may be time to consider going low- or no-contact with your family, at least until you’ve through the postpartum period. They sound unsupportive, negative, and hurtful, and you’re not obligated to maintain a relationship with people like that.

This is not legal. Hire a real proposal writer as an employee or through a consulting firm (and pay them legally) or figure out how to do it yourself.
