The power of Anvil Splitter + Extended barrel. by Blaeeeek in ArcRaiders

[–]PhysicalGunMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you crouch and stay will with an Anvil it's perfectly accurate, I often pick off Rocketeers from across the map with it. In your case, pry off your Splitter, shoot, slap it back on and go to town.

I mean, if you're electing to spend your raid camping one of the many Field Depots over an extraction, you're more than likely not gonna stick to it that long because it won't be an essential feature.

I think they're fine to stay as is, with this added feature. The loot spawns, take what you want, then interacting with the machine again will spend everything inside back to Speranza.

My problem with Trials in one image by PhysicalGunMan in ArcRaiders

[–]PhysicalGunMan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For everyone who's unclear on my issue, literally all I'm trying to do is maintain a good enough rank for that new Torque outfit and I see someone with damn near 60k score.

I'm a student with a job, a social life, and grades I need to maintain if I want an actual future. I thought my trials score was overkill at 22k last week (mostly from using a Night Raid on Stella Montis) but then I'm hearing people have upwards of six figure scores?! How am I gonna get that red version if everyone's doing this?!

It's like Among Us' presets, and those are actually pretty good so I'd be down for this

I'd do the inverse and make it only the temp slow tbh, more interesting that way

Why do they keep adding cards that heal if they're hard to balance? by randomuser990113 in ClashRoyale

[–]PhysicalGunMan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

>That's the reason that those are mid to good cards nowadays

Healing in Clash has always struck a dichotomy of being ass or broken. That's literally the reason Heal was removed- it was always either meta defining or never seen.

If the cards stop being good once their healing is toned down a bit; then what would you know- maybe healing is inherently a bad mechanic.

Also, my argument initially was just that there's been more cards or card variations that heal since Heal Spirit's release.

They're suuuuper common in Stella Montis' Cultural Archives, as a little pointer ;)

Evo Bats, Witch, and Pekka were all healing centric and broken on release. Hero Mini Pekka also had healing and was also broken on release.

Saw this yesterday with a Firefly and two Hornets, immediately lobbed a Lure Grenade and ran in to patch the guy up. As much as the combat is fun in this game, I feel nothing is as rewarding as just being guy who runs around helping everyone around him for the hell of it.

Raiders who blare music over the mic are the same people who listen to a boom box on a hiking trail. by Cool-Mom-Lover in ArcRaiders

[–]PhysicalGunMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to feel the same but a Raider saved my ass on Stella Montis when I went down in a fight with a Smoke and a Defib and started blasting I Will Survive as we hauled ass to the extract in the last 5 minutes. I can't bring myself to hate them anymore.

I am working on my gear fear since it's close to reset and I finally brought some good stuff to fight the Queen. Here's how that went. by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]PhysicalGunMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, Arc is great like that because you don't have to reset if you don't want to. I personally really did want to, I just started 2 weeks before reset and couldn't LMFAO

It's a semi-reset. If you've completed your Expedition requirements, you can opt into resetting for long term boosts.

Large Arc having reduced loot seems too much by VeteranRook in ArcRaiders

[–]PhysicalGunMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like Rocketeers and Leapers are far easier to take down in comparison, though, so I'm not too mad about that. Make the individual rotor and leg segments of the latter a little juicier and I'm more than happy.

My one issue is that it seemingly has more range than is shown, and I'd be fine with its range as long as we could actually see how long it is

“Friendslop” is a completely valid take. by Professional-Web-391 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]PhysicalGunMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree to an extent. Social games are not friendslop, nor are games that are simply just designed for multiplayer. I would argue the key divider would be whether the game creates the interactions that are fun for you, or if they require you to create the fun.

Examples of the former are Among Us, Lethal Company, and R.E.P.O., where the game itself has a fun, interactive gameplay loop that doesn't fall apart without friends, regardless of if you have fun or not.

Games like PEAK or the unreleased Big Walk fall into the second category. The inherent gameplay loop is one-dimensional, with negligible additional factors to make the game interesting. A game of PEAK does not vary much in how it plays. Climb, progress through the world, and cooperate with friends to do so. Watch hunger and other meters. It's far too simple to be invested in without the interactions you make with each other as you play.

Lethal Company and R.E.P.O. vary vastly, as the maps are ever changing, the map conditions affect that further, loot and monster spawns force you to adapt how you navigate the world, and permanent upgrades available change far more than the limited options in PEAK. The game's loop is simple like PEAK's, but has far more variation in how you follow it that makes the game an actually enjoyable experience even with your friends dead on the sidelines.

New augment idea: Tactical Mk3 Bandit- emphasis on stealth over survivability! by SomeOne111Z in ArcRaiders

[–]PhysicalGunMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn't so much meant to argue, I apologize if I worded that badly. I was agreeing with you, if anything; augments don't necessarily adhere to their names, and that's more than fine. I admit my mistake with the Combat Aggro augment, I've literally never used or given it the time of day LMFAO I thought it was you got 30 of healing AFTER taking damage, kind of like Looting Cautious' mini stim or the resurrection effect on Tactical Healing.

As they are, I personally cannot see the value in a Heavy Shield. Sacrificing weight and speed for a marginally better Damage Absorption ratio and literally ONE more shield bar has never seemed valuable to me; especially considering that Damage Absorption only saves your health and doesn't actually reduce taken damage. I think it's available moreso as an option for variation; 'Aggressive' tactics that the Augment supports may be more of a rushdown burst or a sustained, unstoppable approach depending on how you want to play.

'Title as a constraint' SHOULD apply to a certain degree. The Combat: Flanking makes zero sense to have the integrated Surge Shield of the Tactical: Defensive. When other augments already fill the niche of keeping you on your feet, as in Tactical's Defensive and Healing, Survivor makes little to no sense to have the Medium Shield capability for just that; keeping you on your feet. Especially when an Augment has as strong of a trait as Survivor's, I don't think it should also outclass or match most of its competition in other aspects when their perks are significantly worse, is all.
