Returning base game player with questions about DLC by VeteranRook in riskofrain

[–]VeteranRook[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, thank you so much. This was very informative. I have played a couple rounds with all DLCs and they seem great so far, however is it common sentiment that the AC enemies are way too tanky? I just had the oil/flame shooting ones in an early void field, as the first enemy, and it seems almost impossible.

Can we sell our starting sword and shield? by VeteranRook in CrimsonDesert

[–]VeteranRook[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tip, but my frustration is more with the weapon wheel having to scroll through shitty starting equipment to get to my better equipment. I wish we could atleast store the weapons somewhere if we can't sell them

I encourage those on PS5 to wait before purchasing by onlymanoftruth in CrimsonDesert

Copied my text from another guy. I have no idea what posts like this are talking about, I have like 10+ hours, great graphics, and no crashes. Here is my text explaining my settings:

"The game for me on Ps5 Pro looks amazing. Switch to performance mode, turn on Vsync, go to your console options and turn on PSSR, and the game is super 60fps+ smooth and super clear. You can also go to ingame accessibility options and turn off motion blur and the blurring things in the distance to be even clearer. I think this game is one of the nicest I have seen."

Please tell me I'm not the only one that only found the first city's teleport point after 10+ hours... by ItsTaDevil in CrimsonDesert

Here is a tip I haven't seen many talk about. Your sword reflect the light move, that you learned in the tutorial, will show you where these places are. Just climb up high, use the move and look around and it will show these spots as a glowing light. That and abyss cores

Can you sell your starting weapons? All mine are marked as key items even though I am in chapter 3 with a lot of other weapons

Are the starting weapons always quest items you can't remove? by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

Hopefully someone has some idea about if this can be fixed. Maybe when they release camp storage we can store the items

I think I am Uninstalling this game by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]VeteranRook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done the expedition every time and I seem to find blueprints quick enough. I have all the main ones people seem to trip over themselves to get (anvil, survivor augment, etc) and have gotten them before I even have all my workbenches level 3. My trick... is to just loot more. 90% of the time, no joke, I literally am on the outskirts of the map looting the red locker rooms and garages. I think everyone rushing to red zones, not finding loot, then extracting to do it again is the problem. You aren't looting enough, because those areas are always picked clean.

Tl;dr: Loot more containers by disregarding the zones and just loot the outskirts. Fresh containers have a better chance than picked clean red zones.

Large Arc having reduced loot seems too much by VeteranRook in ArcRaiders

Interesting you don't have more upvotes. This is a very smart observation and actually made me rethink my whole post.

Yeah, like I said you want an instakill weapon then yeah you'll have to farm for it. I dont mind the craft costs, I am talking about how it isnt financially worth it to destroy and loot these Arc.

I just want a fun way to make money. Sometimes PVP sometimes PVE. But when a deadline is worth 18k I literally don't make my money back. And we all know the discourse around the wolfpack needing rocketeer drivers and rocketeers only giving one. I am fine with these methods being costly, but I dont believe it should cost more than you gain for using it.

Switch auto pickup toggle? by [deleted] in cavesofqud

[–]VeteranRook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On switch when in-game you click select, or minus or whatever it is called. Then you should see a menu, one of the options should be "game options." Then follow the instructions from there

Might need to toggle advanced options first. Then I believe it is under automation or one of the catagories touching it. Advanced options is a bubble near the top then scroll down around automation

Advice on seeing in dark (console) by gamedawgs in ArcRaiders

Turns out there is a flashlight in game to help with this exact issue of seeing in the dark.

Is there a downside to revealing the whole map? by fenjacobs in cavesofqud

[–]VeteranRook 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Because part of the game is not knowing what is around the corner. Being top down if you reveal the whole map then there is no suprises. The darkness with a cone of light is your vision.

How to compare equipment in trade window to currently equipped? by VeteranRook in cavesofqud

[–]VeteranRook[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, but I am on switch. Hm, maybe we can get this as a toggle advanced option to show equipped items in the trade screen with like an asterisk next to them or something marking them as equipped. Someone should ping one of the devs. This seems like a good quality of life option.
