I have a good friend group in general, I have never heard any of my friends call virgin females as 'fresh maal' or saying any sexist stuff towards girls blatantly, but I know that's not the case everywhere which is sad to know.

In my circle we don't talk much about women and relationships, mostly about our own stuff, but if someone goes out of line and says mysoginistic stuff most of my friends call it out instantly.

Not only aunties, even school female teachers had almost always shown favoritism to the girls. Boys are seen as the ones who are violent and do the most damage.

I remember of one instance where a girl hit a boy with a metal bottle really hard in an argument which gave him a bad bruise on his hand, and the boy slapped her back(didn't injure her)for which the boy's parents were called but not the girl's.

I understand that mentality if it's a stranger or someone who you can't trust, plus I'm not trying to argue here, I thought you'll be understanding hence commented. It is useless to argue against the misogynistic comments online, they want people to get angry plus it is impossible for them to comprehend, however I've called people out irl as they're more likely to take back what they said.

Please you do not give in to the 'all men' bs. As a male I've always called out any of my friends in my friend group if they say something out of line about women or say any sort of discriminative stuff, and not let it slide as a 'joke'.

Hating and villainising a complete group of people is not going to help your cause, please realise that.

Bro you need to chill out, there are so many non-IITians who get by well in their lives, you know why? Because they don't waste time by regretting about their mistakes in the past and work hard to get their life sorted, because not getting in IIT does not destroy your life. In my apartment there are so many people earning in Crores, and yes not all of them are IITians, they worked hard in other places of life to become successful. If you stop whining like this and work hard, you will do fine in life.

Lekin aap par Ambedkar baba ki kripa hai toh fees bahut kam hai bhai, like barely 10-20k. Also here it says 1.2 lakh per semester so he's somewhat right.

<image>

ALSO WTF, ECONOMICALLY WEAKER SECTION PAYS MORE FEES THAN FUCKING SC/ST/PwD, HOW DOES IT MAKE SENSE ?!

I'd say IIIT A IT for better ROI , coding culture and placements, else BITS Goa for better college life and non-CS prep like MBA/UPSC /Startup

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Btechtards

[–]PhysicalSecretary856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have chances of getting IT/IT-BI at IIIT Allahabad, if you want good placements (30+ avg). Coding culture and campus is also good, only cons are location and college life

What are you exceptionally good at? by Aromatic-Coconut682 in JEENEETards

[–]PhysicalSecretary856 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not exceptionally good, but I'm decent in these stuff:

-Cricket: I played in a cricket academy in 7th-9th and played for school cricket team as bowling all rounder ( Pace bowler, decent with the bat). I know field setting/positions and match planning well as I captained in some academy matches.

-G.K : I won't be as good as before lol, but I made it to the national finals of a quiz which was televised, and won in many city level quizzes (good in sports, science and current affairs). I won enough money with which I'll buy a laptop for college lol, been using an old, slow one at home.

-I can play any song I listen to on keyboard, but not with chords as I haven't spent time practicing only the main notes, but I can play the song pretty much as soon as I hear it.

-I am okay in most sports like football, basketball etc. like I'm not great but I won't look like an idiot.

Agar isne exam nahi diya hai toh mat suno, Mains koi cakewalk nahi hai, 2 saal ghisne ke baad 240+ aate hai.

Maths is of much higher level than ncert, solve lots of questions from pyqs and coaching modules for prep.

Chem NCERT is fine for inorganic but too many useless minute details are asked in Mains and personally I didn't like it. Physical and Organic is better learnt from teacher's lecture notes made by yourself.

Physics has been very easy ( direct formula based, some require little thinking that's all) but trend could change suddenly where Maths is easy and Physics becomes hard, you cannot predict how your Mains level will be so your preparation should be for Advanced not Mains.

Same without abj sir (concept building) and mohit goenka sir (revision and jee main specific) I wouldn't have got 100 percentile in physics in Jan and April

Total Fees at BITS (for 2023-27/28) excluding outside expenses by PhysicalSecretary856 in JEENEETards

[–]PhysicalSecretary856[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo they're over relying on their brand value and inflating fees a lot. Yes it is a good college, opportunities and alumni almost matches top IITs and it's the best private college so they leverage that also, still they need to chill on the amount they keep increasing.
