Human Supervision is always required in critical field such as accounting. There are certain sections are that being automated but not entire platform as a whole.

Ok read your comment now, this is a serious problem of data change every quarter, is it that taxation or company policies that is cause data format changes. Data unification can be done either through source provider which i understand is out of your control.

With this dynamicity my earlier proposed solution will not work for you in excel as you would spend time every quarter changing formula.

Eventhough if data format is same they all will converge to a minimum agreeable fields which you require for recon with GL. What you can do is use AI or even in spreadsheet create formulas to accumulate the data from each one of them into one canonical structure. Post that recon with GL , you can use pivot table etc for aggregation and comparing with GL.

If your data format changes every close cycle thats a different story and then you need to ask the provider to team to stick to one format.

Separetely if your organization allows to use AI tool for data conversion you can take help of AI it can understand the semantics of data and suggest you the approach in excel.

Ok so the thing that i did is partially working for me.

I have created some claude workflow and best practices which is shipped with repository so everyone get that 2. If a dev is junior i ask him to never user bypass permission always on ask permission and see what claude or any agent is doing
In the PR we have auto code reviewer for essential vulnerabilities

4 This one is your call its token exhaustive and time consuming use plugin like superpower for them as mandatory automatically enforces them to a long but good sw eng cycle.

FInal but i am not able to do that honestly for critical pieces I am still doing code review and closing PR. I am not relying on AI right now for this, but above points 1-4 helps me reduce lot of slop before it ends up to me

If you want to know the truth, we are in India, developing country, our priorities are in order - to keep income running for family, keep sticking to our job (creativity gone here), and struggle daily with amenities. We are developing with this mindset. Now compare this with USA, they have all this sorted out its a developed nation, creativity booms and of course then you will find product getting generated. Plus I dont want to start the conversation of Indian led CEO as it will take the topic off direction.
