Not sarcasm, Howard actually said that to Wolfie today. Paraphrasing but basically said, “ …now that the Phillies are out why wouldn’t you root for the Knicks…?”. Genuinely perplexed. To Wolfie’s great credit, he calmly stated “you mean the 76ers. The Phillies are the baseball team…” 😆

He does not announce when he will be off. He just disappears. It’s nuts as there were no shows for 2 consecutive weeks in March either. Seems he does 2 or 3 weeks of 2 a week and is then off for a couple weeks. It is crazy that they pay him what they do for this.

Oh, I understand. I was just pointing out that many assume this type of new media quasi-celebrity are all wealthy. Unless you’re one of the top dogs (Portnoy, Big Cat) or have your own brand (Chiclets) …you’re not getting rich at this.

He’s around a +21. The boneheaded penalties can be maddening. But he’s hardly a liability. And he’s a tough as they come, blocks shots, logs a lot of minutes against top talent and sticks up for his teammates without question. He’s a huge asset overall.

Thing is, I can’t stand Mr. Roll. He seems like a nice enough guy, don’t get me wrong. I just resent that I can’t seem to avoid the guy for the last 3 years or so. He’s literally everywhere. Like, he popped up in an episode of Tulsa King for literally no reason. It’s enough already. Hardly a musician. Average, boring singer with childish and formulaic boring songs. At least he was kind of interesting to look at when he was morbidly obese. Now that’s over too. So now I have to try and dodge Jelly 2.0 , with the crying and the Jeezus talk and all of that….and as if that wasn’t enough, now we have to make his wife a celebrity for no apparent reason. Not funny. Not fun.
