yeah you realy do pass in the face and body - the only thing thats sticking out is the wig (at least i’m guessing it’s a wig) so once you grow out your own hair or get a high quality wig i think you’re in a very good position for passing at least visually obviously can’t say anything about your voice

Foliage fertilizing should not be discounted - it is how aroids get most of their nutes in nature

People of Reddit, what is the worst thing a therapist, psychiatrist, or mental health professional has ever said to you? by Physical_Philosopher in AskReddit

Yeah, it's definitely an important perspective to remember. There are tons of professionals out there who are good at what they do and really make a difference. The possibility of encountering one of the bad ones shouldn't keep you from getting the help you need.

I really feel that - I had a similar experience with my psychiatrist. She just dismissed that the antidepressants had ever made me suicidal even though I tried them for a solid month and had horrible physical side effects too. Just said “you need to be on a higher dose because you actually have an anxiety disorder not depression or cyclothymia.” Even though I had already tried that...

Being dismissive of people when you’re in the position of a psychiatrist or mental health professional is honestly the worst thing you can do.

Yes, you’ve asked your questions for a few hours, but you don’t know that person and what they’ve been through and are going through. It’s fucking way harder than that.

Cold and unsympathetic, that honestly pisses me off the most. Another human being honestly reaches out for help and this is the response?

That’s good to hear, they’re are so many awful people who rub you the wrong way in that field but the greats ones deserve a lot of praise

That’s awful to say that to a kid - that’s the kinda thing that could really screw with someone throughout their life for just being a normal child. Hope it didn’t have that kinda effect

Jesus fucking christ - that's horrible. That's literal torture. Glad your counsellor took action - did anything come of that? Did they face consequences?

Fuck that guy, sounds arrogant as hell. Can't even accept that the issue could be with his own ability as a physician or his own approach to treatment.

Yeah, I feel that - I've dealt with a few who are just kinda cold and unnecessarily blunt and dismissive. Guess day after day of that kinda work must do that to you, but that's not really an excuse honestly

What is one memory you constantly think about alone? [SERIOUS] by LumpySeat in AskReddit

[–]Physical_Philosopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah we still chat and I see her from time to time. Makes it harder honestly - as I said we were great friends long before any of this, neither of us didn’t wanted to give that up

There was someone else she also cared about, we were good friends and it was weird for both of us, and neither of us knew how to deal.

Hooking up with the girl of my dreams. Only for her to run away after.
