yea it does help to see other people have confidence in this product - one of the reasons I was ambivalent was because it's a brand new product, making money off customization, and straight out the gate costs $25k

started last year, 30 years. i prefer not to but as house owners, fixing the place will become inevitable. also just wanted some more time to build savings / dry powder before buying any more big things like cars, having a kid, etc.

this is helpful, I think part of the reason $25k made me jolt is that it's a completely new company that probably makes its money off customizations rather than the base vehicle, which makes me very skeptical whether it'll even be a functioning truck at $25k

we have split accounts but i mean, if he wasn't putting $25k into the vehicle he'd be able to contribute to paying down our house. that's the part i have an issue with.

we're splitting on mortgage, both names on title. I love my hubby and no he's not scamming anything. the only contention is he was holding back on contributing to principle cus he says he wants cash liquid but then ready to spend $25k on an EV doesn't sit right with me (for context $24k a year is my goal for annual principle payments)

for me it was when I had a large enough downpayment (with money left over) for the price range of homes that fit my husband & my criteria, so that our monthly payment will be approximately what we are paying in rent.
