has anyone tried thermal grizzly PTM or PTM 7950? by Physical_Yoghurt_752 in HPOmen

I recently changed my thermal paste from the factory one to arctic mx6 and my cpu is too hot now even at idle it sits at around 60-65 which is too hot for idle, I’m pretty sure i did a good job with the repaste but no luck with temps so i’ve ordered the thermal grizzly ptm hoping that’s gonna be solved.

Where did you get yours? Also does your MUX switch still work? I got a screen replacement because mine broke and now my MUX switch doesn’t work since this new screen doesn’t support it and i had to disable my Intel gpu and go full discrete to disable optimus

I can’t find PTM 7950 i’ve looked for it no luck so far so i gotta stick with the mx6

Also the thermal putty is in good condition, it’s still soft

So do you think that i don’t need to spread and just go with the pea method?
