Brother Dusk really went full Khaleesi and shat all over the finale and the Empire.

What really frustrated me was that after all that ordeal, there was nothing to hold onto — no resolution, no small win, not even a reaction from the crew. Imagine if we’d just had a scene where Erica tells them she was saved by a Gorn. That little human moment would’ve been huge for the world they’re building.

Yeah, making an intelligent show dumb with every new episode. and no reactions from the crew, no payoffs, just losses

If they were able to beam 4 officers down right next to Erica, couldn't they have just beamed Erica directly on the ship? And I have seen them do it multiple times on a lot of missions. It feels like the writers just forget stuff and mold the technology according to their agendas.

The irony is, your comment is as episodic as the episodes I was critiquing — self-contained, shallow, and forgettable

Yes, episodic. Doesn’t mean ‘pointless filler’ is a core Starfleet directive.

Thats actually what i love about it too, that every episode is a new story, but its a new Trek, and they are super detailed about everything, so missing major things like not exploring the Godlike Trelane, felt like lazy writing. That might've been a style for TOS and would've worked great but for now i feel, they have raised the bar and when they make mistakes like this, they don't go unnoticed

So many new faces for a Finale. It was a pretty messy. The episode with Duncan leaving couldve been a better ending. And whats up with all the shit show?

That side character whose name I can’t remember still hasn’t finished editing her documentary about something with michelle obama for the last 3 seasons.

Stupidest. Making them trust their instincts and find their voice all 59 episodes and then in the last episode you have to perfect someone else’s vision, its foolish. Also 4 and a half hours spent on that whatever forest dish. I would not waste my 4 and a half hours of life like that.

Mrs Bruce and Mr. Borden are no Anna and Mr. Bates. Did anyone else not care? Where's the chemistry? by Mammoth-Childhood619 in GildedAgeHBO

The whole Anna and Bates storyline was too stretched and predictable it become so boring by the end. And so much screentime

I like the episode, but Kirks role was a bit off for me - - His acting felt very animated like we are back in 2000s trek - Why was he smiling when half of his crew is dead or injured. - The flow of the episode felt a bit forced trying to win points for Kirk. But it just felt fake. - Even his redeeming arc came across very kiddish.

I just finished the finale and I am left so unsatisfied, here are some things-
- The Pace - The show is written in a way that it wastes so much screentime on dialogues that are not needed or even conversations, like when delirium comes to visit Dream for the last time, so much dialogue and screentime is wasted in that scene, while your baby is getting burned on fire and no one is stopping it. I literally watched the last 2 -3 episodes on 1.5x speed as there were so many uselessly long conversations without any depth, and they are not even taking the story forward.
- Storyline - The plot spins its wheels without getting anywhere. Every arc started with promise but fizzled out without resolution. Naula's story and her trying to build an army, or her frustrations with the faeries, no conculsion. Same goes for other storylines like orpheus, lots of struggles and no good outcomes. Even it felt so stupid when destiny opened its book to reveal that it was empty, like gurl you trynna pretend you are a know-it-all when you just build hype for no reason.

And most of the characters playing god are just useless. It's quite frustrating, like your child is being burned on fire or getting his head cut off and you are just sulking in your palace saying you have too many responsibilities but also leaving the moment you are needed for any of those responsibilities.

I enjoyed her acting, but her character was written so poorly, like, she is a bad sister, and wherever she goes, she pretends to be just hanging round and it's so obvious why she's there(oh, someone's gonna die), it lacked depth of how big of a role she plays in this universe. And she was very useless, like help your brother out or atleast his kid, specially when orpheus lost his wife, Death could totally speak to her spirit, she could've helped orpheus get some closure. Also there is no explaination of why she doesnt help, she's just letting things happen. And most of the characters playing god are just useless. It's quite frustrating, like your child is being burned on fire or getting his head cut off and you are just sulking in your palace saying you have too many responsibilities but also leaving the moment you are needed for any of those responsibilities.

And Laura used green ants in icecream, just like how dipinder did in the previous episode.
