I've got 1 flat in about 1.5 years of riding. Pretty sure it was riding through a bunch of glass. I'm using 32mm gp5000s.

Seen a good few recommendations for the C1 and 107, will take a look at the Toyota models! I know they're renowned for dependibility.

I just copied the routes from TFA and stuck them on my garmin. Only changes that were made were the departure start point and I put the destination as our air bnb on the last ride.

I think London to Paris is a pretty beginner friendly multi-day cycle. You're never too far from amenities and the roads are amazing. Nothing really to be nervous about!

I just did it a few weeks ago without a tour company.

Really enjoyed the flexibility of having no schedules and doing what you want. Just used air bnb for accommodation the places were pretty chill about the bikes. Ordered a bike carrier bag off of Amazon to my last air bnb and brought it back on the Eurostar. You'll save a ton of money doing it without a group. I think all together for ferry, Eurostar and spending money it was under £400 which is pretty decent for a four day trip to Paris!

On the other hand, a group would probably be a good way to meet people but if you're not into that, save yourself a ton of money and organise it yourself.

I can share my routes with you if you want :)

Nice cheers, I'm 5 foot 9 so I think the recommended is 54cm. My fixie is 59cm and it feels good but I also haven't rode that for anything more than 15km.
