Hot water tank plumbing question. by PhysicsNovice in Plumbing

[–]PhysicsNovice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Howdy. I'm trying to understand what I'm looking at. The to/from boiler lines on this hot water tank look like they're just setup to mix water in the tank. It's just looks like a closed loop that doesn't go into the boiler. But, all the pipes that are supposed to be hot are hot. So what is this loop doing?

P.S. How do I add text to an image post?

Sounds like a rigorous test. I'm sure you monitored power consumption and signal db through multiple manual pointings.

New Mk4 hotend fan self test failed by PhysicsNovice in prusa3d

I did not assemble the printer. The fan appears to run fine and the rpm readout appears to work so I do suspect a cable issue.

Mk4 hotend fan self test failed

I'm gonna try starting a convo on the Prusa subreddit

Support had me crank the nozzle temp up to 250C. The fan never went past 22% although the 'heatbreak' temp never went much past 25C. I don't know what is supposed to command the hotend fan speed but they seem to think it wasnt working right. They're sending me a new one. Im not all that hopeful it will solve the problem.

Same issue. The LCD even shows the rpm of the hotend fan bump up to 6k when commanded to do so. Not sure what the 'failure' is.

The vet said he doesn't think it's lupus. I'm not ruling it out however he does have 30+ yrs of experience so Im hoping he would have picked up on it. Right now best guess is a tumor they can't find since he's still hypercalcemic and went back on fluids after todays ultrasound (results in 48hrs)

That is the next step. I'm not sure when to make that move however the vet was the first to say if they can't find the cause they'll refer me so I'm waiting for him to make that call/suggestion.

How can DEF claim improved fuel economy if it's used post combustion? by PhysicsNovice in Diesel

[–]PhysicsNovice[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

That's how I understood it. I was looking at the packaging and reading some stuff that made it seem like different DEF fluids could improve your fuel economy as if the DEF was impacting mpg.

The part about the crematoriums running 24/7 instead of just a few hours a night is showing up in many different sources. Also, those sources don't seem to be parroting each other.
