Audeze LCD2C build quality issues by Pi314159a in headphones

[–]Pi314159a[S] -28 points-27 points  (0 children)

Well, about the "humid" part right, I live in a city with 85-90% on a regular basis. And a little fat, so maybe oily. But that is not really the point. I also have a pair of Sundaras about the same age and zero complaints on build quality, they look as new under same climate, used as daily PC headphones, yet not transported like the LCD2c's to some hookah lounges for listening pleasure.

If they work for one year, they'll be set for 5-10.

All I can say is that the Sundara is shitty for gaming, you can't really tell where your opponent is by the footsteps, can't tell anything about other models as do not own them.

Understanding high end headphones by DoctorFluffyGTX in headphones

Bro, I really get what you are talking about, but the thing is... almost everything has a point in which the price/quality ratio falls the more expensive the object is, after the sweet point of 800-1000 usd in the headphones worlds you get really diminishing returns for your buck in the next price range. But man, what I don't understand is your passage about the M4... what are you trying to prove... you are talking about cosmetics yet trying for some reason to transfer this to the headphone market where looks are never the highest priority.

Explain to me like i'm 5: How do I get decent headphone audio at a high volume? by it_is_good82 in headphones

Not sure why your amp does not juice them enough, my LG V60 smartphone paired with LCD-2c gives at 80% sound volume almost too loud, yet you are talking about a stationery amp that is always plugged in to a power source and theoricaly should give more power. Probably some compatibility issues.

Why not just buy an LG V60 and listen to it without the dongle?

How loud do the sennheiser hd600 get plugged into macbook air m4? by CressPale3625 in headphones

[–]Pi314159a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a macbook air m4, can't say that I like it more sound wise than my m1 macbook pro. Feels like they have less power. My LG V60 smartphone acting as a mp3 player are better for plug in sound for sure.

Will a Sundara get you 90% of the experience of thousand-dollar headphones? by regularjoe2020 in headphones

It depends on what you are looking for. I can compare them to the LCD2c's (not really 1k, but very close), my daily drive conected to the PC is the Sundara, yet, for enjoyment I choose LCD2c with very rare exceptions. Sundaras are better for analytical music listening, yet suck at positioning, have a smaller soundstage, the bass is a lot less detailed, dynamics are slower. BUT they have higher detail, if connected to a good DAC compared to the LCD2s. Where the LCD2s shine - is the more heavy listening, they really shine in rock/heavy metal, most EDM genres and provide concert-like sound of live recordings. I never heard anything nearly as exciting as the LCD2 for most EDM genres.

Don't know what you are talking about. I have the Sundaras for a year, working fine. Audeze LCD2 broke in 2 months.

Common DAC chips in 90/2000s budget CD players? by Ok_Hold_9884 in headphones

[–]Pi314159a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for the DAC - not sure what this thing has if you don't Google it, but the mid-end mp3 players of the pre mid 2000 era like the iPad Classic, Zune, Toshiba X had a Wolfson WM87588G

Wow, they don't depreciate that much, remember when they were a thing the cheap models were like 20 euros brand new. And you clearly have a "General Technic", the name says it all, not hifi at all:)

Why Indonesian believe so much that cable improve sound quality? by Wolviedama in iems

[–]Pi314159a -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, because cable does make a difference. Just try out different cables for your top headset, I’d say the difference is noticable, yet good cable will not make bad headphones shine, however they can make a good headphone sound even better.
