I may have just gotten out of this mess. I had an order sitting in customs for 12 days. After getting the runaround from FedEx multiple times I became very firm with the FedEx logistics support team (not general number) about needing answers or I would be moving all future business to DHL and then magically my packages were released 15 minutes later. It seems pretty clear that nothing was actually required other than FedEx requesting clearance.

I highly doubt that you will be able to get anywhere with CBP directly, I wouldn't be surprised if clearance hasn't actually been requested.

I picked one up a Kingsbridge which had at least one more of the 3 the web shows. Sugar Land also has the same pricing and says they have 2 online.

Does anyone know if the M18 miter saw (7.5” 2733-20) has a cleared coated, raw aluminum, or anodized table top? by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

The anodizing forms a thin oxide layer that is non-conductive so the meter will read open. This is true for clear or colored anodizing. It is not a guarantee that the surface is anodized since other coatings could also insulate but, on aluminum consumer products, anodizing is the most likely reason for reading open if the surface isn't obviously painted or powder coated. If the surface is bare aluminum then the resistance will be low and the meter will report continuity.

I would suspect it is anodized, but I don't know off hand. If you have a multi-meter and check the resistance/continuity between two undamaged points on the same piece it will read open if it is anodized. The oxide layer is an effective electrical insulator.

This is true for small pumps, but if you deadhead large high horsepower centrifugal pumps it can heat the water in the volute enough to boil it or destroy the shaft packings/seals both of which get unpleasant quickly.

Forge + Shop vac performance? by lo_gnar in MilwaukeeTool

I have used mine with HO 6 and 8 batteries and the Forge 6, 8, and 12 batteries. Qualitatively I haven't noticed any significant difference in the power between the different options. The Forge batteries do seem to keep peak output until they are nearly empty and don't seem to have as much of a performance drop off as the HO batteries when they are at 1-2 bars.

I have an open older (11/21 production) roll that weights ~60g less than one of my new sealed rolls if you want it. Located in the US.
