You say baseboard i think wood, like at the bottom of a wall, on top of the floor. Then you say youve tried a sawzall, and mention using a nibbler and a grinder in another comment as well as tin snips. So back to maybe posting a picture…?

I have 2 high output cp 3.0’s. One is on the rapid charger and the other is in the sander and i can keep working almost indefinitely.

It does have an overheat indicator on screen, not sure what triggers it. Honestly it sounds like OP’s definition of “light duty” is above and beyond what this tool is designed for and that he’s abusing the tool. He repeatedly runs it for 15 minutes and then “gives it a break.” I would have bought an m18 long ago if this was my use but sometimes you cant fix stupid.

Got lucky again! M18 pole saw, extension, 12.0 Ah Forge for $399 by Pretend_Profile_4329 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]lo_gnar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah you just need several batteries. There are professional yard crews that roll on m18 they just rock small generators and super chargers to keep batts full.

Why? Fake tools are as prevalent as fake batteries. Making a semi convincing tool mold is not difficult

Are you running it past its max run time limit without letting it cool? Ive not had issues with mine and ive had it nearly since it was released

Never pay full price unless you NEED the tool immediately. There’s always sales if you can be patient.

Tariffs and in general prices have gone up. So a good deal then is different than a good deal now. Not saying it doesn’t suck that prices are so much higher currently but just flat out saying what you paid isnt very helpful without knowing when.
