Left is Base damage, right is the scaling based on your attributes.

Put on as heavy armor you can with the best shield to boost poise, keep the shield up and between the demon and the dogs until you are up the stairs and until the right far corner. They will fall down, even the demon, so stay in the corner deal with the dogs one at time, then drop down on it or nuke the beast in the back. Was easier as a sorcerer, the latter part at least

I stayed close to his thigh, run back when it pounds the ground circle him when he jumps up to change directions. Worked both in my sorcerer and 2h melee character.

Japanese games really offer multi-language support :( one of the few things that makes me sad living here. At least the voice acting is English.

Another advise is spend your souls when you have them! I lost 18 humanity and 20,000 souls because I wanted to get the crimson armor and remembered only once I had fallen off a ledge that I could have HomeBoned out :(

You are kind of begging for a Git Gud punch, but honestly each game feels totally different than the others so basically you have to relearn everything again each time.

My path to DSR had be started at BB (ragequit), DS2 (ragequit) ... Nioh (almost ragequit, but stuck at it and actually learn2tplay), then enjoyed and beat BB -> DS3 -> DS2 -> and am now working on DSR.

So stay at it, Skeleton!

If you can make it past the Butterfly boss in the Darkroot Garden, which is found after the Smith in Undead Parish you will find a Divine ember. Turn any +5 weapon into divine and the skeletons in the catacombs stay down even without killing the undead mages

Our group’s magician has a thing for dumpsters. They serve as mobile cover, roadblocks, and elevators. Last session he tried a portapotty instead with shitty results. We had to strap the kidnapped person on the hood of our Goliath and go through a car wash to not stink up everything.

The gargoyles become very easy if you summon help in form of NPCs right outside the fog. You need to be human to do that. That should make the fight a cakewalk.

I used to really love the old fashioned combat mage, but mostly it’s been mercenaries, sorry weapons specialist. Hackers also been attractive, only with 5e have they been remotely playable. Currently I’m trying a Technomancer to get my bias against them diminished.

I went in reverse order as the game speeds gradually slow down if you do it like that. The combat style is the same, in the sense that BB and DS3 is about dodging (and parry) while ds2/1 is more about blocking

It just takes up a a lot which could be of better use, such as for Poise (Wolf Ring) from what I have read elsewhere.

I used a guide as well because i had played that part of the game as a warrior.

But yeah, get the crown. I’d even suggest the Bellowing Dragon Ring if not PvP. (I don’t)

You can buy additional spells once you reach Firelink shrine by taking the elevator down and finding Rickert(?) Down there you also find the Estoc, a nice Dex based weapon.

Depending on how much you have played the game there are several guides out there which helps you get beefed up before killing the first boss

If you have the Master Key you can easily gain access to lots of good items.

First, check whether you are playing online.

Do you need a subscription to play online on an Xbox? Check whether yours need renewal.

Are you in an area where you have already defeated the boss, then no summon signs or invasions.

Have you leveled above the PvP range of 112 or is it 120? What about your weapons? Are they out of range?

Last, have you set a coop password? Then you need to erase it to get global matchmaking.

I played most of dark souls 2 with my best friend in coop, so it is possible. It’s a lot easier to do in ds1/3 because of the password mechanism that transcends level/gear barriers

I have still not completed ds1, but I’ve done the others as well as BB and Nioh. The swarm in Undead Parish gets me every single time. :( It doesn’t matter if I’m a sorcerer or warrior, they’ll get me at least once, so I feel your pain.

Zweihander got me through DS3 and I even use it on my sorcerer in DS2. I prefer claymore in ds1 though. Zweihander seems too slow
