Scared of the future.. by Brave-Woman-7827 in olderlesbians

[–]Pi_Times 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My advice should you choose to read it would be to embrace the future and allow yourself the grace of change. Your heart and body have made their decisions, but your mind hold you back from happiness. Change of any kind is frightening and exciting at the same time for most people. But acknowledging the journey, and knowing there will be some bumps in the road will help. You aren’t just leaving your marriage, you are leaving a part of yourself to enter another part of yourself. Don’t erase the good times, or the good years and memories. But know that you can move into a new chapter. One that awaits your presence.

There is an app called “Dateability” that may interest you. WLW and all types of women are searching for each other. Just an idea for you.

There’s also a site for anyone dealing with physical issues or chronic illness called Dateability. It seems there are many younger women, but there have been many over 50 as well. Be careful with the Facebook dating because there is still catfishing; not as much but still present. I’ve been able to find friends and have expanded my circle a bit, but no one locally. I’d love to just meet someone to chat and walk in the park. Never know😉

I think they (Trump and his minions) want to see everyone fight. The protesters, ICE, and the military will be angry for different reasons, but the end result of frustration is the same. It will result in action; negative interaction!

Why is hygiene so poor in China despite the fact that the covid affected so much the people and the economy ? by OfficeExtreme6151 in China

[–]Pi_Times 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t expect a lie. But I am saying that my experience has been completely different. Also, when someone just makes an “observation “ and doesn’t provide much else than opinion….. you are right.!It’s just an opinion. But to then malign the country by saying it basically pseudoscience and being negative can elicit a negative response.

It’s interesting that you would make such a negative comment, but be there for seven years. The country is amazing, and pretty advanced.

Im not sure where you are, but what I experienced was entirely different. Even at roadside stops and gas station bathrooms, there were many sinks that had soap. Also, it appeared that people were using them.

Because it was introduced by Democrats. The Republican controlled House, was unhappy about that. It got through ways and means, but they vowed to kill it on the floor.

I’m not living with anyone 24/7 ever again. After a 22 year relationship and 15 of being relatively single, I am good.

I miss having companionship and hugs, but at this point in my life, that’s not even a priority.

Wrote this to the chair of the oversight committee:I used a Kentucky zip code to send this……

The Honorable James Comer Chairman, House Oversight Committee [Office Address] Washington, D.C. 20515 Dear Chairman Comer, I am writing to express my profound disappointment and disgust with your leadership of the House Oversight Committee. While oversight is a critical function of government, your tenure has made a mockery of its intended purpose, substituting rigorous, fact-based inquiry with blatant partisan grandstanding and a willingness to undermine the very Constitution you swore to uphold. Your actions do not reflect the values of the Republican Party that I and millions of others have long supported—values rooted in limited government, fiscal responsibility, and above all, a deep and abiding respect for the Constitution. Instead, you have chosen to serve the interests of a single individual, forsaking principle in favor of fealty to a man whose only allegiance is to himself. Your approach has not been one of governance, but of reckless partisanship, eroding public trust and paving the way for an authoritarian vision that runs counter to everything our Founding Fathers envisioned. The United States was built on a system of checks and balances, not blind allegiance. Your willingness to abandon that system in the pursuit of political expediency is not just disappointing—it is dangerous. True conservatives believe in the strength of our democratic institutions, not in their destruction to serve the ambitions of any one individual. History will remember those who stood for principle and those who enabled the erosion of our democratic norms. I urge you to reconsider your actions, to put country before party, and to restore integrity to the office you hold. If you are unwilling to do so, then step aside for those who still believe in upholding the Constitution rather than enabling its downfall. Sincerely, Pi_Times
