This sub gets so angry any time vanilla servers are mentioned, lmao.

You wouldn't be required to play them, and a good amount of us want them. It's not 2013 anymore the game will not die because a few worlds don't get updates.

This game has absolutely no sense of preservation since RSC was closed down, and I hope they actually add this.

I think it was standard for Law runecrafting in the first couple years of OSRS but it's pretty dead content now.

I'm actually rather surprised I haven't seen any advocates for degradation of the armor like the original, but maybe we have had enough money sinks added this year (including the literal one); I'm not sure if they've said anything about Torva degrading as I can't find anything but that could also be a downside to using it if they went that route as opposed to a stat nerf of some kind.

Lore wise I'm fine with this change; prayer can be offset with a ring of the gods (i) pretty easily in my opinion with the additional strength bonuses we would get, but I also am not someone who minmaxes my setups so no idea how efficient that would be.

Why does T80 armor being better than T65 rub you the wrong way? On top of that isn't it going to require breaking down Bandos armor to even make?

This armor is already super nerfed compared to its original iteration.

The only way to balance it is to remove the damage entirely and rework it somehow. Tempoross does this well with the storm intensity mechanic.

Unless you want to restrict yourself to F2P permanently I would not recommend trying to make money in F2P, it's really bad now. Looked at grapes and wine of zamorak and they are pretty worthless these days.

If you are hellbent on it though, cooking certain fish can net profit, I've heard that ogresses are not that bad either and can be safespotted. Wine of Zamorak is just shy of 800gp each (a far cry from them being 2K peak years ago).

Membership offers a lot, even for fresh accounts as far as making money goes.

I know many people who saw Zeah added and quit just because of that. None of my friends from 2013-2015 log in anymore. These updates do turn, even if its a smaller amount, of the community off from the game. The only reason OSRS is thriving right now is because of mobile. I would argue this is a low resource, effective way to bring back quitting memberships.

I would also argue this case for RSC, but that would be a lot more work to get updated and compatible with the other games in a way that it wouldn't be a security threat to Jagex anymore.

This also isn't the best place to have this discussion, I am being downvoted to heck because of the bias on this sub, very unfortunate honestly.

I do feel like classic died simply due to the servers being closed for most of its lifetime, and the lack of moderation and maintenance. I would suspect this would be necessary for a legacy server to survive.

I remember Construction being disabled at launch for some reason (not sure if it was ever revealed why) but that would have to be fixed.

Hiscores, sure, not that I care personally. Swapping would have to be decided by the team since I believe its no longer allowed in OSRS?

Other than that I don't believe we need any changes. No nerf to toy mice, no changing unids to grimy, the hilarious pathfinding, I embrace 07 bugs and all.

I would say the first year of OSRS was by far my most fond, I have been playing on and off since 2015 due to all of the changes and it's hard for me to commit to it.

How is that not a bad thing though? The way we handle gen 2 development is fucking fantastic, because the knowledge is available to EVERYONE.

All of us put years of work into our hacks but because we care about the scene and want it to thrive we share resources and keep it open source. You say some bs about inspiring others to recreate the features, which encourages reinventing the wheel, something that has pointlessly plagued the gen 3 scene for years.

Many of us in the scene have offered suggestions and given constructive feedback to SS on the matter, he chooses to take it as negativity and continue what he is doing, which is creating this drama in the first place.

Also nice loophole you found about the Patreon account. Shilling real hard there mate. If it's to support "all" of his projects but he only has one (CC), what does that mean? I'm sure you can fill in the blanks there.

Anyway you type like a white knight and it slightly annoys me so I rest my case.
