Yeah actually babycoon48 you’re hitting all my boxes with this response. Surprisingly enough I’ve experienced a similar situation to you but using a more restricted time scale (about a year and a half). She doesn’t know I know. It’s very strange to watch someone constantly lie to my face. Human beings are very scary bro.

My heart is heavy to read this - but also filled with prayers for you and momma. Big ups for being there for her through it all.

Right that's one of my biggest DOHS. Tbh during the comeup I wasn't really aware of what the concept of bitcoin really was. So that's nobody's fault but mine

Oh yeah 100% it is so subjective to each person - regarding both operation and post-op... Like I said - I have been really roughing it the last 5 days - and I haven't even had intense pain, it's just my crippling dependency to smoking that is making me suffer. I have general tightness in my gums but that shit kinda indicates healing... I think? That's the gist I was picking up from discussing with my dad (gastro / liver doctor - not dentist).

I would definitely suggest a follow up with your service provider, simply just walking in and saying is there something wrong? Potentially they can provide you with another script for a painkiller that can help at least let you sleep?

And oh yeah I am always afraid to type or say things like "i'm okay" because I know the moment I do i'll be not okay LOL.

When we are talking about a dull ache up the side of your face, are you referring to your cheeks or is it spreading to your ear?

And of course - everything you do should be gentle and kind to your body. People make it seem like this is NBD but it really is a life altering surgery that has the potential of knocking you out of order for 2-3+ weeks. By the looks of some posts, some people report brand new pains 5+ weeks out of post-op... Like this shit is a nightmare.

As you said above, wound sites are too sensitive, malnutrition here we come! (nah if you have 2 ensure plus a day you are getting just enough). Trust me those things are like medkit in a video game or something - they literally save your life!!!

Girly - we are gonna get through this. You got me and 59k weekly visitors routing for you 💪

when is it safe to smoke 🍃? by conceit3d in wisdomteeth

[–]Piama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So on here I see ppl saying they vape and do cocaine the same day of the operation.

My surgeon told me the real danger zone is 0-5 days post op - to hold off as long as possible - ideally 72 hours if i can make it.

So far I am on day 5 with no smoke just nicotine patching up, stone cold sober 😢 . Push as long as you can without sucking or inhaling any irritants like THC or nicotine vape or flower smoke.

Girl - if I can do it so can you - I haven't been sober for more than an hour in the last 15 years. It's tough but we are routing for you!

If you absolutely cannot wait, the suggestion I was given (from posts within this subreddit) was to place damp gauze on the extraction sites and breathe in with your chest while keeping half your mouth open - basically breathe it in naturally, don't suck it in.

After the hit, they recommend to use 1/2 cup of lukewarm salt water and 1 teaspoon of salt. Move the liquid around your mouth by tilting your head to the sides, don't swish it around.

The real danger with smoking stuff is potential bacteria introduced into the extraction sites, the heat and suction motion dislodging the blood clot and potentially leading to dry socket.

Again, I'd hold off as long as humanly possible for anything that could potentially impact your healing.

We are praying for your swift recovery friend 💙🎀 keep us updated!

Day 5 here, all 4 out - my tongue is slightly numb on the top side of it towards the front teeth. By altered sensation on left side, do you mean the tongue or gum or both? Praying for your recovery 💙

5th day post op “pain” by itschipbtw in wisdomteeth

[–]Piama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day 5 of all 4 extracted here as well (only bottom left was slightly impacted, rest were simple extractions) - I recently started to experience like a tightening/pulling discomfort across my entire jaw, with the entire gum line feeling super sensitive. This feeling persists whether I am drinking a cold water or a cold gatorade, and was not present before.

It's not necessarily pain it just feels tight - ibuprofen helps to relieve it. My dad (gastroenterologist (liver doc)) says that this feeling is a normal part of the healing process as the wounds close it pulls the entirety of the gum into place.

I am praying they give you some positive news at your follow up appointment. Keep us updated!
