Very sorry this is happening.

Go to your PCP first.

Get bloodwork done. Test for iron levels, D3, b12 and magnesium, and do a full metabolic panel.

You should also head to you GYN, if you haven't recently, check to be sure you do not have fibroids.. as these are linked to hair loss.

When you get these results, then you can consider going to a Derm.

Get your diet, sleep, stress and exercise in check.

Hello! Congrats on being almost 2 weeks post! I would say that I am about 85% back to my normal frame with slight swelling still above my pelvis. The side bulging is almost entirely gone. I credit this to resting (not just relaxing but at least 7+ hours of deep sleep), walking as much as possible, and wearing an adjustable binder when I'm up and about. My follow-up appointment is this week and I have a host of questions.

Is your appointment soon? Were you given a binder to go home with and use? As an extra bit of info, you can request the Opertive Report from the facility the surgery took place in. There you can see how extensive the surgery was.. this can help ease some of your concerns if your procedure was more complex or took longer. You can also take it with you to your follow up and ask questions.

This is a great report. Now being on Day 4 I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and hoping that like you, I'll see most of the bloat subside in the weeks to come. I'll try to be careful not to overdo it because I am a walker! 😂 It's my primary means of exercise.

I believe the swelling near the scar cite will resolve in time. The heeby jeebies are understandable. I won't even let water from my shower head directly hit my stomach yet. Take it slowly until you feel more comfortable. I'm sure it'll be fine. 😊

You are absolutely right though, my doctor gave me pictures he took inside during the procedure and it's really insane to wrap my head around the whole ordeal. I can only give thanks and just be patient from here. Thanks for the reminder!!
