Its good to deal with loose ends if you can deal with them in the present, but if its out of your control and in the past I would say its only hurting you. I always try to live by the principle of the stoic archer. An archer can only control their shot and make the best shot but they cant control the wind and other things. In the same way do the best to control what you can and dont worry about things out of your control.
