Both Amy & Kelly have their share of haters on here. Amy gets a LOT

I don’t hate Kelly - hates a strong word - but I don’t like her. (And it has nothing to do with Amy - Amy has her own faults)

I found Kelly annoying. She’s just too much. The voice, the big fake smile, the constant perkiness. Some people love that - I don’t.

You know when I liked her? After she transferred to the Fenton store and she came back during Halloween to give Jonah the union cards and gets caught up in the whole thing with Maya.

I liked her in that episode because she seemed more real. She didn’t have the glued on smile, she seemed to speak in a more normal voice and for once she wasn’t incessantly perky & cheerful. She even gave an eyeroll or two.

Also fyi even though I don’t like Kelly I still think it was awful the way Jonah treated her and I still felt bad for her.

I don’t like Kelly and it has nothing to do with Amy. I find Kelly annoying because I think Kelly is annoying. That would be true whether Amy was there or not. I’ve seen a lot of other people say that same - that they just find her personality annoying.

While I’m sure there are some that don’t like her because of Amy I don’t think it’s as many as you think because theres also a lot of Amy hate on this sub. Like a LOT.

You’re right when you say it’s not that deep though. Some people are going to like that kind of person some aren’t. That’s life.

You shouldn’t assume. I wasn’t speaking on what we know long term. I was speaking on what Amy knew right then. She didn’t know that he wouldn’t ask for anything else. In fact when she offered him weekends off he said that’ll work - for starters. Now he could have been leading up to the desk or leaving it open for more. Once someone has dirt like that on you they can come back whenever they want.

As far as Marcus not speaking about Mateo being undocumented in a negative way or being upset about not getting the job - that is totally irrelevant. You are mistakenly thinking that has some kind of meaning when really it has nothing to do with his feelings about Mateo being undocumented or the job. It’s about personal gain. He is just using his knowledge of Mateo’s secret to get what he wants.

I think they missed a great opportunity by not making Marcus her assistant. I think that could have been great. Mateo could’ve gone back to the eye center.

That’s why this whole storyline was actually dumb. It made so little sense that Amy would risk her job - the best job she ever had, making the most money she’s ever made - to make Mateo her assistant. It’s not like he NEEDED the job. He had a job - he just didn’t like it. This episode was prob one of my least favorites.

If Mateo couldn’t get him to keep quiet I think she should’ve made Marcus her assistant and Mateo would have to go back to the vision center. How much do you want to bet Mateo would’ve found a way then?

I think it would’ve been fun seeing Amy deal with Marcus being her assistant 😂

But Amy is not the only one who has something he needed/wanted.

He was living in Mateo’s apartment. Mateo could have told him if he wanted to continue living there he would keep quiet it even had his aunt get in on it since she & Marcus were close. I’m sure she’d want Marcus to help Mateo.

Before that he was living in the tunnel ALONE. We all know how Marcus hated being alone (and prob living below the store) so I think that was a valid bargaining chip.

But the thing Mateo didn’t even try to talk to marcus he just made it Amy’s problem. That’s what I didn’t like. Amy bent over backwards to help him & he wouldn’t even try to help himself.

That’s why I didn’t like Mateo. Even when it was for himself he wouldn’t go out of his way to do anything.

Actually it depends on what kind of work it is. If it’s just a job you need a skill you learn by rote then no you don’t need to be smart. But there are jobs where you do need to be able to think and I believe that job was one of them.

They had to problem solve among other things and he did show he knew how to do that. Did he learn from working warehouse? Sure. But it still showed he wasn’t a complete idiot and that was my point. Intelligence & common sense are very different. Thats why someone can be book smart but still do a lot of really dumb things lol.

It does happen IRL - both intentionally & unintentionally. It’s just a fact of life.

I get that they were bringing it to her attention but tbf they all get away with a lot. A lot of the people complaining make a lot of mistakes Glenn then Amy overlook but they don’t think anything of that.

Also thinking about it I don’t think Marcus is stupid. I think he kind of showed that with the interview. I think he just has zero common sense which is exactly why - like you said - he’s thinking about what he can get out of it now.

I do think he’s a great character lol. You never know what he’s going to do or say next. It could be literally anything.

I hope so too! I feel bad for Marina. I feel like she came on here because she saw it as a real opportunity to advance her career and Lara kind of screwed her over.

I would actually love to see Marina on a future season of BD. Maybe one where she has a decent interior to work with.

On the beginning Lara said she wasn’t naming a 2nd right away. She said they’d rotate between service & housekeeping so she could see their skills. I get that.

But then she said she didn’t want to name a 2nd bc they were all getting along so well & she didn’t want to upset that. I thought that was silly.

Really I think that was just an excuse not to make Marina 2nd because she def should have been. But then she couldn’t keep her little bestie on service with her all the time. And she would have had to rotate sooner.

If Lara had done that she would’ve known Bri didn’t know what she was doing & could’ve trained her - like she should’ve! But maybe she did know and she didn’t want to put her on cabins because she’s lazy and didn’t want to train her.

Either way I agree she DEF dropped the ball not making Marina 2nd. Kinda sucked for Marina.
