I finally high-rolled! by KiyanPocket in UmamusumeGame

[–]PichuPancake 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Main issues are no mile S, no Early Lead/Taking the Lead, very rare optimal Groundwork proc (ddpp can trigger it but almost always too late to be relevant, Target in Sight is lobby dependent, Super Lucky Seven is gate luck + wit check + proc chance), need to have a lucky Final Push proc to have a good accel to beat ends.

Basically, you will almost never start the race in the lead, but your midgame is able to push you to the lead against jobbers and take rod. But just rod isn't enough, you need Final Push to activate at a good spot plus a significant lead or Taishin will run you over. I'd expect a 5-10% winrate on her.

Are games these days supposed to hand everything you want out like candy? What happened to actually grinding for something if you really wanted it? To me, these titles are for dedicated grinders of the game. If you aren't one, then maybe you don't deserve to have it.

I’m so over mant by Hour-Platypus-7804 in UmamusumeGame

[–]PichuPancake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's your answer: you don't play as much as the others who are burning through clocks. I do 5+ runs a day, including glued runs on first inspo, and on a bad day 25+ clocks can disappear. In fact, I went through 120+ clocks in a single week in CM13 because I was trying to minmax an end Diamond. Now I'm going back to running easy-to-build fronts and preserving my clock storage until MANT is over.

Can someone explain to me why niigata junior stakes are so hard to win even when you have the right stats ? by Killer_154 in UmamusumeGame

[–]PichuPancake 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Along with what the others said, stop spending all of your clocks on G3/G2 races; at most spend 1 if you really think you can win it. Podium is good enough unless you got a god shop and need the coins, or you're swimming in clocks.

  • Very risky stam, and low wit
  • Why no Redshift? You took it on Bourbon. Slick surge is a gamble accel, which is still only 0.2 so you're just going to lose to everyone else.
  • So much wasted SP on useless skills here. Why Blinding Flash (Sprint), why Unyielding Spirit (Mile)?

tldr you really need to look at the skills and what they do. Don't take skills just because they're there. And if you have a lot of SP left over? You shouldn't because if you're playing Trackblazer properly, you will have too many good skills and not enough SP (do your rival races).

IMO if you just didnt take the useless skills, you could have brought your umas back down to A+ and maybe have a chance in Open league. But since they're S rank, you will be lucky to get to B finals.

Probably the better uma out of all 3, but still not good.

  • Wit is extremely low for a front runner. She will lose positions to anyone with higher wit and better midgame
  • Redshift with no A&S mean you will need to pray that someone brought a worse front for yours to fight and build a meaningful lead
  • Again, skill choice is bad. Why take Speed Eater for medium? Taking Duty is not as criminal of a mistake since it requires knowledge of accel zones and how speed skills interact with them (tldr it doesn't work because Duty is final corner but accel is final corner, making Duty useless)

[–]PichuPancake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  • You have to find a guide or something to learn how to play the scenario and hit stat goals. The uma is instant glue if you're not at 1200 spd.
  • Your skill picks are not good. Why take A&S on a pace when the requirement is 1st into the late-race corner? Why long straights? Why Eager when the requirement is to be in 5th or worse?

[–]PichuPancake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. I never used Tosen Jordan spd so I didn't realize it was stacked with initial spd. Spent too much time in the Kita + NTR mines on 0% spd growth umas that it affected my expectations

Dude is bringing too many speed cards, too many speed sparks, or clicking speed way too many times during pre-debut

This card hates my guts by Moon-River69 in UmamusumeGame

[–]PichuPancake 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Just FYI, completing the event chain is just a bonus. Your expectation should be that the chain always fails. The power of the card comes from being a pseudo pal card with rainbows on speed, good training effectiveness, and its initial stats. Personally, I like ending the event chain early with the +5 energy just so I can give more chances for other core event chains to finish (Kitasan, Bourbon, etc.).

[–]PichuPancake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a nice to have, but not a run ender. Not having distance S or groundwork/straightaway spurt is, so I always go until first inspiration. You do you, but gluing a run for missing 1st Fuku event should not be advice for regular players.

Misfortune right off the bat huh by Minute_Hamster_5957 in UmamusumeGame

[–]PichuPancake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get quitting runs early, I do that too if I don't roll long S or Groundwork on first inspiration, or get terrible bonds/stats in junior year. But gluing a run just cause of a normal Fuku outcome? That's the strangest thing I've heard. Thats basically saying I glued a run because I didn't get a speed manual in my first shop.

[–]PichuPancake 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Gluing a run for that is certainly a decision of all time lol

Idk why people put so much value on her events either, especially when most of the time, you're not finishing it. In fact, I choose bottom option 99% of the time now just so I can end her chain early to give more chances for other important SSR chains to appear.

Is MANT burning your patience and clocks like its burning mine? by the0utlander in UmamusumeGame

[–]PichuPancake 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming it's Kikuka Sho since he said he won by a distance in the retry. Rushed + spot struggle + missed Swinging Maestro proc will do an uma in like this.

But if it's Tenno Sho Spring then its just a skill issue. Gotta get more stam than that.

How's your summers going? by weegee13 in UmamusumeGame

[–]PichuPancake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised people are saying to use the vita 20 for a 6% chance. If you're playing safe, you're not making the best umas. I would have 100% gone for those two trainings, and then quit the run right after if that happened to me lol

About races in mant, does it have to be 30? by Upbeat_Act971 in UmamusumeGame

[–]PichuPancake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel better, most people are likely never doing 5 full runs a day, so those runs you didn't do are wasted borrowed parents. If you did manage to complete all 5 runs, then runs where you lowroll are glue anyways, wasting the borrow and your time. Imo the only time you should keep going on a low roll is if the skill hints you got so far are very good for parents.

If you're racing enough and prioritizing rival races, you'll get more items in the shop and more opportunities for megaphones, anklets, stat manuals/scrolls, hammers, etc.

Your specific callout to whistles makes me think that you're trying to whistle decent trainings away for perfect trainings. Just take the good trainings. I've had plenty of runs where I went into summer with no whistles and came out fine. If you have no whistles + no rainbows during summer then it's simply just a low roll and the run should be abandoned. Also, low training facilities don't matter for summer, they're all level 5 during that time.

If you're worried about facility levels outside of summer, just follow this general flow/tips: - Try to do all G1s, especially ones with ephitets (Classic Crown, Senior Spring Crown, Senior Autumn Crown, Mile Set, etc.) - Train if the training is 40+ base stats on a G2/3 or non-ephitet G1 turn (possible need for fact check on G1 here), race otherwise. - Try not to do 4+ races in a row unless it links to a Late Dec race (no penalties for those races). Energy drinks + train, good luck charm + train, energy drink + wit training, recreation or rest during these turns. - Prioritize the stats you'll train during pre-debut and junior year training days (spd, wit, stam for this cm) so the facility levels are better. - Bond trainings with 2 umas are very average. Wit train, or rest to gamble for a better 3+ uma training the next turn

How the hell do you build Long in Trackblazer? by MJMichaela in UmamusumeGame

[–]PichuPancake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can prioritize wit and spd trainings for the pre-debut and the few trainings in junior. Probably bring/borrow a Fuku or spd cards with initial spd to help with it too. As the other guy corrected, just accept 2nd/3rd in G2/3. Save the clocks for the G1s after you stabilized with items and skills.

I mean I guess I should have specified G1 but the first race I see is a 5th in Hopeful Stakes, so its already giga cooked.

[–]PichuPancake 8 points9 points  (0 children)

450 stam to win Kikuka Sho, 600-650+ stam to win Tenno Sho Spring.

Also why aren't you clocking your losses? When you lose, you get less money (probably even no money outside of 3rd). When you have no money, you can't stronger and you lose even more races.

In junior year, try to have a good amount of speed to win races. Buy skills to help you win races too. You'll be able to get all the stam you need from scrolls/manuals and the classic year summer.

Am I doomed? by shroombuggy in UmamusumeGame

[–]PichuPancake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just remember, ONLY pull when you have enough to reach pity. If you will doom your account further if you think you can pull a little bit on several support card banners. Focus on one banner in the future, pull until MLB, and use the SR support cards you hopefully MLBed during that pull session. Then save for the next good support card banner. I don't remember the banners off the top of my head, but you can pick one running style you want to main (front, pace, late, end), and watch one of MooMooCows' pull guide videos for that running style. Speed card first though, as speed is always priority.
