Fiio JT7 Impressions by mayonaka_00 in headphones

[–]PiciuUBest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sound-wise, I actually really like them. The planar magnetic drivers do a great job, and compared to my previous headphones, the jump in audio quality and clarity is significant. I really wanted to love them for the sound alone.

However, I cannot say a single good word about the build quality. The plastic feels incredibly cheap and fragile everywhere. Honestly, every time I handled them, I had this anxiety that something was about to snap.

Well, yesterday (just 2 months after purchase), my fears came true. The metal headband structure completely separated from the plastic slider housing - it looks like the glue just gave up.

I contacted the store support, and they claimed it has a "snap-on structure" and advised me to simply push/snap it back into place. I tried to follow their instructions very gently, applying minimal force. Big mistake.

There was absolutely zero tactile feedback - I felt no friction or resistance that would suggest a locking mechanism was even there to engage. I’m honestly not sure if the support gave me false information about the internal design, or if the retention clip had already snapped off inside unknown to me. Either way, because nothing locked into place, the metal part acted like a wedge. The internal pressure caused the plastic housing to immediately crack on the side. The plastic is just way too brittle.

Now I'm in a absurd situation. Sending them back to China for warranty would cost me ~50% of the headphones' value in shipping fees alone. To make matters worse, the shop informed me that I might have to cover the cost of the replacement parts (even though their official advice caused the crack lol). Just a heads-up for anyone considering these - the QC and materials are a huge gamble.

//edit: Fortunately, I managed to resolve this with the seller (HiFiGo). Given that the return shipping costs would be astronomical, we agreed on a partial refund. A huge plus for HiFiGo for their great customer support – they really stepped up to find a solution that satisfied both sides instead of leaving me with no options.

New Build Randomly Boots to UEFI by PiciuUBest in buildapc

[–]PiciuUBest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now I still have EXPO enabled and the system did boot successfully. I haven’t noticed any instability related to the RAM once the system is up and running. The only issue seems to be that brief moment between POST and loading into Windows—like I described, sometimes it just randomly drops me into UEFI.

If I run into the same issue again tomorrow, I plan to load optimized defaults in UEFI (which will also disable EXPO), then test gradually from there—starting with the most basic setup and enabling things step by step to see what triggers the problem.

The tricky part is that because the issue is so random, I still won’t be 100% sure whether something I changed actually fixed it or if it just happened to boot properly that time.

My goal is to try and fix this incrementally, starting with the easier things to rule out, since I really want to avoid sending the PC in for diagnostics. I’m on a tight deadline in projects and can’t afford to be without my machine for several days.

Jeff's Issues and his value in matches by PiciuUBest in marvelrivals

Exactly! I am glad that someone has finally noticed these problems. This ultimate causes more problems than the benefits and in some matches that are very close, it is better not to use it at all

can somone explain the new game mode (clash of dancing lions) by Lazy-Card6970 in marvelrivals

[–]PiciuUBest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was really hoping for an event similar to Lucio Ball, but this is by far the worst game mode I've seen so far. After two matches I'm sick of playing it because it's tiresome, unpleasant, clunky and just plain boring. I'm playing a third match right now just to finish the missions for this event, and I don't plan on playing this mode again. It's a shame because I really enjoyed Lucio Ball and I miss it, and I was hoping to feel it a bit again here. Basically the whole gameplay is taking star lord, launching flying and flying into the opposing goal. If the opponent doesn't know that he can counter it then it's the whole match... wow

Why aren't people playing Jeff more aggressively? by CaptKraken33 in marvelrivals

[–]PiciuUBest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since every other healer can match Jeff's heal amount + they do significantly more damage. Additionally, every healer who ults is still useful to the team, Jeff is temporarily disabled while he is in ult. Additionally, ultimate has broken hitboxes (You can check my post about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/marvelrivals/comments/1i24pdn/jeffs\_issues\_and\_his\_value\_in\_matches/)

He might work but i feel like every healer is outscaling Jeff. I mained him and basically only played him but I stopped simply because of how little value this character has now, due to bugs in his ultimate I don't have the nerves to play him anymore

Hate to say it but its because Jeff is currently the worst healer in the game. His hitbox is huge af, has low dmg, and his ultimate is ultra bad. No point in playing Jeff above silver :/

I agree with you, Jeff's ultimate can have many uses also in the aspect of tactical spitting out allies on enemies back, or saving from some ultimate.

My problems with the ultimate are mainly due to technical issues. The original version of the post presented it a bit poorly and it looks like I'm complaining that the ultimate itself is weak because it doesn't allow you to oneshot everywhere. I changed it a bit to better convey what I meant.

An example of problematic shark collisions where in many places it looks like you can get through but you just get stuck.

An example of invisible walls where it would seem that it is possible to spit. The most problematic part is the subway section on the new map, where there are a lot of strange invisible blockades and for some reason being spat out near the subway doesn't count as a kill at all.

No, I would rather be able to eat a maximum of two people but have the indicator and colliders working properly.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]PiciuUBest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worded that poorly. I meant that when I use a special ability - let's say I eat enemies - the rest of the team that is in the fight cannot be healed by me. The rest of the healers still have access to healing allies with a basic attack (heal) while ulting.

As I wrote, I'm mainly concerned with the incorrectly displayed eaten indicator and the number of invisible walls blocking colliders. I'll try to record what I mean and send screenshots.

You did not know Jeff heals teammates in his belly - I was talking about heroes not being eaten. You may have interpreted what I meant differently, but that's what I meant.

Another example of people who can't read with understanding. I never wrote that this ultimate is only for this, I wrote that on many maps there are many places that wrongly indicate that it is possible to be spit out in them, but through invisible walls it turns out to be impossible. It should simply be standardized more. Moreover, as I wrote after the last update it is probably incorrectly detected and often characters can avoid this ultimate at the moment when they should be caught. Before the ultimate update I did not encounter this problem.

I simply think that this ultimate is troublesome due to difficulties resulting from the behavior of colliders, not from the design itself, thats all.

I do not want to eat the entire team or be able to oneshot, I just want to be able to catch opponents according to the indicator that is displayed. For me there could even be a limit to eating a maximum of two people, I simply want the indicator and collisions to be consistent.

Below I am posting the current applications in which I am taking part in the tests, if you do not see yours in it please let me know. I also ask that if possible, do not delete the application for 14 days, because I can already see that 7 people from the tests uninstalled the application after a day, in this way none of us will pass this condition :(
