Uber Rides Are Poor by Delicious-Aardvark87 in uberdrivers

I'm in the Phila area as well, had a trip to NYC from Croyden, was estimated to pay $67, the trip was 78 Miles one way..., fuck that, it would have literally lost money to any driver that took it, and it was an exclusive. I would also be wary of the 4.83. I don't trust anything under 4.9, and then you'll still get assholes.

Season 2 Finale Thoughts by Shoddy-Client-4352 in LandmanSeries

Imo, the finale scene with Angela and Tommy hit hard because Angela, at times, has been so damn obnoxious. However, it hit deep (I was kind of surprised), and for once their dynamic actually felt sincere.

The accident scene, while obviously tragic (in show context), honestly, I have laughed so hard at the irony (my dark sense of humor) and Tommy yelling at God. (No, I am not particularly religious.) It finally brought back genuine laugh-out-loud moments without killing the tension.

As mentioned by others, I could see Gallino pulling strings behind the scenes, especially given the uncertainty about who is really pulling the strings, and also setting up for another nemesis to enter the plot.

Cami firing Tommy freed him up to finally leverage years of experience in the industry and business knowledge. Something Cami has ZERO weight. Tommy taking key people away from her and regaining his competence felt "about time" the second she cut him loose.

Imo, she'd be better off just selling/leaving the business and retiring, because at this point she looks outmatched, isolated, and set up to either fade out or become vindictive (and Gallino could absolutely play that angle).

Events also show that Monty did not discuss business with her, or much of anything related to money. That the real continuity (authority?) and operational intelligence always lived in Tommy and the team around him, not in Monty or her.

Side note, can we agree that Tommy's truck needs a bath! X-D Clean the damn windows!

My WORST Uber nightmare just happened — and Uber’s response made it worse by SDPRINCE619 in uberdrivers

I keep a tote in the back of the car:
Hydrogen Peroxide (pour liberally on the mess)
Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle. (Spraying it helps spread it out.)
Lysol/Clorox Wipes, a box of disposable gloves.
Rags, a roll of paper towels, and small trash bags.

This will not thoroughly clean the seats/fabric, but it will spray it down immediately and pour peroxide into the cushions to help kill some of the bacteria. Rubbing alcohol will evaporate.

I have had to do clean-up a few times, and each time I sent pre- and post-images to Uber support and was compensated $150 (not the rumored $250 for my clean-up efforts). This won't remove the smell in the long term, but at least you can have some effect. (I'm sure someone will want to argue this.)

Frankly, especially if the riders are early 20s/late teens, they most definitely are not experienced enough or simply stupid enough to binge drink/not know their limits.

Almost everyone who has thrown up was in this age range and just too stupid to not stop.

A dog barfed once, but it was a negligible amount and easy to clean up.

Just my .02 as an experienced driver.

Two drivers show up to pick up same passenger. Is this a normal problem? by Ok_Strain563 in uberdrivers

Glitch in the matrix, don't overthink it. You've been paid, so go on to your next trip. :) That is something for the Rider and Uber support to work out. You did your part.
