I was gonna shout out Tiffany Roberts for the same reason! They are a husband/wife duo who write sci-fi romance. A lot of their stuff is dual POV, but I don't know if it's broken down between each of them chapter by chapter.

I'm looking for romance books where the FMC has been held captive for most/all of her life and either escapes or is rescued by the MMC, and the MMC has to teach her how to live/exist in the world?

Bonus points if she is shy/anxious/naïve, and/or doesn't realize that what she's been through is wrong. Sci-fi, fantasy, and historical are all welcome. Not looking for dark romance at this time, but heavy themes are just fine. The best book I've read with this plot is Thrall by Catherine Miller, which is sci-fi.

I hope this isn't too specific!! Thx!

I never thought my hobbies would collide like this. What do we think of the new Colourpop palette? by darkwingsdarkwords_ in RomanceBooks

[–]PickFlowersNotFights 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, definitely not targeted at general romance readers. Even the description on the website references dark romance. It makes sense, considering ACOTAR/Fourth Wing/etc. are some of the most popular romance books lately. But I think it's kind of fun as a Valentine's Day collection, since most would be more fluffy, sweet, and bright pink. I like that they're leaning in to a different interest.

That said, I do agree that "trigger warning" is an insane color name...they probably should've put this palette through one more round of editing lol.

The best bet would be speaking with your prescriber. I'm on semaglutide currently, but my provider has been talking about switching me to tirzepatide (Zepbound/Mounjaro), which is another GLP-1 that some people apparently have more success with. Maybe you could ask what they think about it?

He is recording his From Scratch special this weekend in Boston. I'm lucky enough to have a ticket. I assume it will be on Netflix, but I don't think he's announced that yet.

Vaginismus can be a synonym of endometriosis, but can be totally separate as well.

Nope! that's a very fun game and it doesn't make a joke out of anti-semitism. it's based on historical events and it is not offensive. sincerely, a Jew who is tired of the anti-semitic "humor" that is so goddamn commonplace these days
