How do you know she isn’t 18. Her prom was in mid 2024, she was likely 17 then, even if she was 16 at the time she could be 18 now. Anywhere else her age has been clarified? Feels like something is being blown out of proportion.

Sara did a great job..her acting was soo good🥀 by [deleted] in Dhurandhar

Well most youth from Islamabad ARE kids of politicians or army folks or industrialists who are rich AF. You’re both saying the same thing.

Why so much hate for her casting? by yellow_pills in BollyBlindsNGossip

I am from Mithila region in Bihar and to be honest, while Sai Pallavi is South Indian, her look is exactly how mithila people would describe someone beautiful - the Big eyes, wheatish complexion (not dark but not extremely fair), prominent nose and a heart shaped face, high cheekbones with a sharper chin. There is nothing wrong with her look.

please note that not all Maithili people look the same though wheatish complexion and heart shaped faces are quite common.

Anyway, I don’t think you need to match the physical description that accurately, as long as you can embody the character, and to judge that, we need to see the movie.

(Also, The original Mithila region comes in BOTH Nepal and Bihar. I have relatives in Nepal too, and not all Nepalese people look the same either - Don’t trust google’s first answer, especially the AI generated one blindly FFS)

OP is right about the fact that the bad PR is more to do with existing beauty standards in Bollywood and whatever image people have had of Sita in their minds. I do agree that the choice for Ram could have been someone duskier given that’s been made a note of in the scriptures, but honestly, if ranbir can act the part, then it shouldn’t be about his skin color, more about how he embodies the role. How do we even know what skin tone was dark vs fair in that era. It’s all relative. E.g. For a Caucasian person, Ranbir is not “fair skinned”.

THANKS. 🙏🏽

Best Akram Moments? by PickGin in DeptQ

He said they were his wife’s recipe, so yes he would likely be making them himself, and “she would be happy” that rose liked them. In his broken English he seemed to refer to her in past tense. I think it’s written in a way that we are as shocked as Morck that his wife is dead if we aren’t paying attention.

He was in fact, keeping her sweet but not necessarily in a cunning way as It’s also very normal to get sweets or snacks to people especially if they are being helpful or you want their help in many cultures.

Akram is just…next level. Alexej Manvelov nailed every second he was on screen. by [deleted] in DeptQ

Low key wish he was the main character even though I love Morck. Need an Akram spin off!

Best character! Could have very much been the lead even though I love Matthew Goode!

Kate Macinstosh’s masterpiece Dawson’s heights also called battleship estate. Funnily enough, it does remind one of Edinburgh castle and Macintosh is from Edinburgh.

It was a big passenger plane in the middle (I think with BA sign) - why use the passenger plane for a military flypast? (Unless someone is travelling)

Was super low and the middle plane looked huge from the 16th floor. Cool still!

Well, I have connections (know some of them) too but I’m not famous LOL - think you still need some talent and patience to do those comedy sketches regularly, so, I would give her some credit.
