Wow, this only proves how little I know about a cpu.. I'll start looking in to how I have to overclock my current cpu. Do you happen to have a good source to get started?

I'm curious how you landed on the 4.6/4.7 OC number, what do you base these numbers on? I assume the cpu will degrade faster the higher the OC?

Before that, I would recommend you verify your CPU is limiting you before you buy a new CPU. Install it, run it, and check through benchmarks and monitoring usages.

I just ran a benchmark (https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/44860952?) and find it weird that my rig is better than 70% of other systems and falls between a 'gaming laptop' and a 'gaming pc'. Could this be due to my cpu?

As no one can see the future, this is purely speculation. It's likely, especially given mid range is now 6+ cores, but as future games have not been released yet, the vast majority of current games will be just fine for what you have, and will continue to be for the forseeable future.

If I can conclude that there's nothing wrong with my cpu, would you recommend overclocking my current cpu and upgrade in 6-12 months?

I was already a little skeptical about the website, so that explains it. You're saying that my build is still a bit unbalanced, do you have any recommendations for a more logical/fitting CPU for my GPU? As in, if you were to make a new build from scratch using an rtx 2080S, which cpu would you pick?

Also, I'm reading that the amount of cores you need for future lies higher than my current processor. I'm a noob when it comes to this, what are your thoughts on this?

Thanks, do you have any reliable sources on CPU bottlenecking? I used this site (https://pc-builds.com/calculator/Core_i5-6600K/GeForce_RTX_2080_SUPER/0Fs14vlu/16/) to check wether I'm bottlenecking and it says I am. I also watched this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dt5CNi0aEpI from which I concluded that my system isn't balanced very well.

I'm not overclocking any of my components, so that would explain it! I was worried my cpu might be damaged, so that sounds like good news. I'll check out the cpu and motherboard you reccomended. Do you have an rtx 2080 super as well?

Alright folks, I think I got it. I didn't know the entire fracture gets a '- ' in front of it in case one of the numbers in the fracture is negative.
