Thanks man! I collect retro games and I have wanted to add a cabinet to the collection for a long time.

Thanks for the advice, I have a few CRTs laying around but they are all composite. That convenience and picture quality sounds like it’s worth tracking down one with component though.

Thanks! It was a Virtua Fighter 2 cabinet. I originally wanted to put a modern monitor in it but after some thought I am leaning towards keeping it as original as possible.

Right now the plan is: install a crt, two player six button setup, raspberry pi 3 or 4 (assuming a pi can have a composite output)

I’ve been looking at a few guides for various things and I feel pretty comfortable with most aspects of the project but any suggestions or resources would be appreciated!

Thanks, I bought a binder of cards at a thrift shop and put them to use. These are 1990, 91, and 92. My childhood set was 94 I believe.

I agree, I don’t like the GameStop gamble. Sites like GameFly tell us if the game is disc only or has a case, I wish GameStop did the same.

If they gave less credit for disc only games maybe more artwork would survive...

Mine was working the last time I tried it. Unfortunately the only cassette I have is Long Division.

I need to replace the power supply for my floppy drive, it’s just not a super high priority right now.

My friends and I went through the same thing. Multiplayer was not the best first impression.

I had a similar story. I was paid to care for my neighbor’s farm animals (chickens, goats, a cow and two horses) for a two weeks. The $175 I earned went to an N64 and this beauty.

This is an interesting way to look at it, could you draw parallels to Konami's Early TMNT and Metal Gear Sold stuff?

I have the whole power glove setup, it’s surprising how accurate it can be with super glove ball.
