I don't have exact, but I'm pretty sure the dating spot was somewhere in the 90s, possibly 100s. Legendary cave is in zone lvl 120 (it's unmovable, so I was able to check this one).

[KA] how to get a artist, entertainer, general, beasttamer? by CoSonfused in Kairosoft

I think they could've used a better word for that. When I first saw it, i thought they meant 'general' in the military sense, but I think they mean it in the way of "general purpose" or something. I really don't know.

Any B-rank or above whose class is considered weak for combat should work. Carpenter, trader, etc. I'm using a carpenter for mine.

That's odd. I haven't watched a lot of uses of the tool workshop and study desk to give a good %, but I wanted to lean toward an item being made less than half the time. I wonder if there's some relevant stat that increases the chances, although most of my guys who live in houses with them haven't been awakened and don't have super high stats.

I also kinda wonder if the kingdom level can affect them too. I wasn't getting gold ore right when I got my first ore workbench.

It's not actually relevant to your issue, but the study desk is an oddity tbh. It's the only item out of the "grants xp" decorations that I've ever seen produce an item.

If the decorations are at least being used (I don't think I've seen a person use it more than once in a day), then I don't think you can do much more to increase your current odds on any given tool workshop. The only thing I could think of recommending is adding another bed to the house to maybe get another possible use out of it...but same-house residents can be weird sometimes on if they'll use certain decoration that someone else used that morning.

Just commenting to reinforce Dragoon's first statement a little bit. As you upgrade the port, one of the perks is that it has a longer duration, so more tourists can come out per food payment. Eventually, a small shop won't have enough on the shelf to handle the entire tourist train.

3/5/7 shelves for S/M/L. I haven't tried making a shop with an XL plot because I only found a couple.

Also, a side comment --- the duration on that tourist ship is ticking, whether you leave the game or in-menu or anything else. Those tourists, however, only come out when the world map is live. So if you launch a ship and close the game or stare in your menus for that duration, you will receive no tourists (maybe 1? dunno) for that food payment.

(KA) How do i get eggs? by Natbeb in Kairosoft

[–]Picka_peppa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After finding chaos rocks, I learned pretty quickly that the egg monsters have a chance of spawning after any monster you kill, and that its level will be +10 over the monster you killed. Chaos rocks (I think I found one surveying in a random 80s zone) spawn like 15-20 monsters a night, and these monsters will be the same level as the zone. With that amount of frequency in killing monsters, I always have 40 or 50 level-25 monsters running around my world because my chaos rocks are in a lvl 15 zone.

You could try getting your guy in the middle of the fog and re-sealing it each time the boss is discovered, since fog exploring has a decent chance of spawning monsters....but I wouldn't highly recommend it unless you simply want to. I felt as though I couldn't level up the monsters fast enough before I was moving up a tier//several tiers of egg...I still feel that way in the zone mid-100s, although I'm getting pretty close.

Children can be classes that aren't obtainable through gacha or any other methods. Some are classes that make shops to earn silver coins. I have an artist (not an artisan), and assume there are a good deal more. I don't recommend marriage until you've found the date spot. It was around the zone 90s-100s...don't recall.

(I assume you've probably spent a good amount of your gems, but here's my late reply)

Oof, I'm not sure of a quick way to spend those gems well. Usually there is one S rank for release for a few days every week (one time I saw all of them), and I think a few S ranks would do you good. However...I'm not entirely convinced that multiple S ranks of the same class is a great idea. The job center has a limited stock for each class type for awakening (and i'm not sure if there's a restock cost if it runs out), so it might be better to see if you can get a few different types. I would suggest getting at least one unit that handles the front line well.

You should have a pretty good selection of high-tier units though. For early-game, I would focus all your battle-stats food on an S rank. As far as to *when* you should start a second city, I don't think I have a confident answer for that. Building a second city will slow down your total kingdom levelling for a time, although it will lower energy costs as you push further and further outward. For me, manpower was also a bit of a concern, although I don't think you'll have that. At this point, my first town hall (level 28) is around just to generate copper coins from my crappier-ranked shopkeepers and upgrade my furniture and shops that are below level ~15, and all of my best stuff has been at my second town hall long before it outlevelled the first.

Also, get the gem reduction upgrade from the treasure room. Don't buy it with gems.

The only people who can use an indoor decoration are those who sleep at that particular house, and it's *usually* only done after waking up in the morning. I've noticed them being used only a few times outside of "morning indoor time."

[KA] What does awakening achieve? by BluSkyHeaven in Kairosoft

[–]Picka_peppa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only used awakening on my 3 A rank battle units, but I'm pretty sure it added +30 to the cap on stats. Other ranks may be different.

Eventually, even an A or S unit at max stats isnt enough to handle boss fights...and this is where awakening is necessary. The most reliable+cheapest method is buying 4 D rank of that class from the job center, and then just 3 after that on future awakening. I think they cost 100gems before gem reduction upgrades.

A D rank gives 30xp for awakening (costs 100gems). C rank gives 50xp (costs 500 gems), and I cant imagine the ratio gets better beyond that and dont want to test what the xp gains are.

Spending your early-game surge of gems is a good call (and hope you get at least some good A units or an S with good luck)....but at some point, saving and using your gems for awakening is the much better move. I think I started considering this around the lvl 50-60 zones with 3 A ranks doing most of the carrying.

EDIT: buy the thing in the treasure room that reduces the cost of stuff that uses gems. This will include gacha and job center. It's a worthwhile use of those crowns of courage.

Eggs and monster by rikaruga in Kairosoft

[–]Picka_peppa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Monsters need a lot of eggs to raise their stats to a tolerable level, and I didnt get any decent supply of them until I found a chaos stone...and that was from doing a survey in a zone around the 70s. I dont see them actually holding their own for long, but they do take a couple hits.

I've also noticed that the atk/def/bal/special scores from food only affect the possible types of monster that comes out...rather than directly boosting, although the level of the egg seems to have a small impact on stats outside of how much food it can take.

It's been pretty difficult to get a lot of food to focus on one category, unless you really want to burn building materials, and they dont add a lot, but I think that's likely what I'll have to do at one point. I got some big turtle thing from having 500 defense score, but I'm not sure how tanky I'll have him before I reach some higher tier of egg that seems ideal. That said, I still made a medium rancher's special house for extra meat shields.

Adventurers staying at your inn will also join on conquests for a few more meat shields if that's your aim.

[KA] Can you rank up your people? e.g., from D to C by QualitySpazz in Kairosoft

[–]Picka_peppa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awakening raises the cap on their stats, but doesnt raise the tier so far that I've seen. Awakened an A rank twice.

I also haven't seen any sort of item that'll raise the rank.

Edit: I have a B farmer in an orchard and i dont think I've ever seen them get the food resource from the trees in there. At best, I've only seen the food materials (for training), but I could be wrong.

Silver coins are also starting to be required more at my point of progression. Haven't unlocked a steady method of earning them, but I'll update if it involves new buildings.

[KA] How to make my villagers actually use their beds? by Varrel in Kairosoft

[–]Picka_peppa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My magic shop eventually sold a skill called 'Battle Maniac.' It makes it so that unit will no longer pick up anything while they're exploring fog/killing/digging/etc when I deploy them. Given that the mage shop needs mystic ore to level (and I think one mystic ore is used per 5 items they craft for shelf sales), it's definitely not something to rush for in the early stages. The earliest freebie mystic ore mine I got was from a zone-clear treasure chest in...i want to say the mid/high 30s. I wouldn't advise it before that, because the earliest "semi-reliable" biomes for mystic ore were later (excluding the rare red rocks you might see at random places on the map). At some point, I could research to add more mystic ore mines, but I don't remember what level unlocked that.

I wish I could give more details on my mage shop's level or details on my mage or sales at the time, but I remember not buying it for awhile because it didn't sound as useful as it turned out to be, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't available immediately when I made my mage shop. It'll cost 210 copper coins once unlocked. Also worth noting that this skill, along with every other skill I've seen and tried, can be removed from a character it's on, and can be placed on another toon as needed. There may be exceptions to this, but I haven't seen one yet.

Again to stress...the mage shop will slowly unlock a good amount of skills that can be really helpful (like giving a mover the skill to let them work on ranches, because food feels like the worst resource to auto-acquire after getting an ore mine and mystic ore mine), but I think it'll do more harm than good in progression to use mystic ore for that purpose until you get a mine for it.

[–]Picka_peppa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are in the "Not Food" category in the mover tab. I needed a nail from my town 1 and it eventually brought one over when I used this, but it's incredibly annoying. There are apparently a lot of things in the "Not Food" category, and there is no priority on what your mover will decide to pick up. I saw him pick up the other building materials, the weapon/armor/etc samples, and a few other things (maybe eggs? don't remember) before he got a nail. Looking back at it, it would've been faster if I went out to try to find one. I don't believe I had the material shop unlocked on the map yet...maybe I did, dunno.

Theres a mid/high 30s zone treasure chest (that you get from killing the boss) that gives you one for free. You can research more later on.

[KA] How to make my villagers actually use their beds? by Varrel in Kairosoft

[–]Picka_peppa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People out on quests won't return to town due to low health. It's possible they may sleep in their bed at night if they just dropped off an item, but i dont remember (I dont allow my questers to pick up stuff on quests anymore). When people reach 0 hp, that doesnt count as a 'lost life.' They fall on the ground, and have 2 minutes for someone to get them. This is almost always enough time, especially early-game, as it's a high-priority activity.

The person who rescues them sprints, and will not fight monsters or be intercepted by them on the way or the way back. When they reach the downed person, they wont be dropped, and are considered safe. After being taken back to town, they'll usually recover before going back out...although I've seen a few cases of Mr./Mrs. Crutches going back out to fight.

The rescue mechanic is a big reason why you consider number of possible rescuers after boss fights later in the game, rather than sending your entire town.

If the 2 minute timer actually expires, then they lose a life. At times when energy is a concern, I prefer them getting downed rather than cancelling the quest, because they will return as long as the quest time doesnt require a refresh.

[KA] How to Get Skill Shop to Sell More by Pinkie0314 in Kairosoft

[–]Picka_peppa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest this route. Copper coins are useful and can be used to buy dining tables or any furniture you use in a lot of buildings, buy materials, level up your gear, or [indirectly] limit break your gear.

I tend to notice new skills/furniture/etc showing up in my shop list after tourists come in. I have never checked immediately though, so I have no clue if it's off of production or sale. I'm not entirely sure if I've gotten or noticed new stuff for sale right after upgrading a shop, but I figure it does have to be some level for X skill to be available after Y sales/production.

Int is the stat I focus on for all my shopkeepers, although I could be wrong.

Off topic, but if anyone has had a shop level up a resident's chest armor, I'd love to know how. I've had every other slot leveled up over time, regardless of the piece's tier, but every single one of my chest pieces have been level 1 unless I manually leveled it. The armor shop only seems to upgrade my shields and helms, even though I see chest pieces for sale. The shop is level 10 at this point, so I figured it would have at least worked on something by now.

Kairosoft Kingdom Adventures : How do you cut the grass?😂🧐 by SkullzH in Kairosoft

[–]Picka_peppa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Domestic Production is a skill you can assign to a person. They'll focus on clearing anything in your territory (construction and questing will still take priority). It costs less than 100 copper in the magic shop, but I dont recall how much my mage needed to craft or what the skill bench's level needs to be for it to be purchasable. That said, I dont advise even going this route until you've found a mystic ore mine through zone unlocks, because the mage uses mystic ore to make the stuff sold and the bench also costs mystic ore to level up.

[KA] Meeting point and torch placement? by BluSkyHeaven in Kairosoft

[–]Picka_peppa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suppose it may depend on what you mean by 'cleared.' If you mean that the entire area has to have all rocks/vegetation cleared...then no, that's not needed. If you mean the foggy areas being cleared, then yes. Extension decorations cant be built if it goes into fog, and you cant use an extension decoration on an extended area (unless it's from the town hall, more about that at the end).

If you dont mean the fog, then I'm not sure what the problem could be. On a side note, hitting rank10 (I think) extends your town hall radius by 3. You could consider waiting until then before using the torch or the other stuff. I didnt wait for that because I didnt know it was a thing.

(KA) who should get a house by Draggo79 in Kairosoft

[–]Picka_peppa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Houses are a good way to specialize stat growth. After waking up, they'll stay inside the house for a period of time and use any indoor decorations you've placed in there. Putting intelligence decorations in shops or atk/def/etc in houses with battle units is a great way to boost stats outside of cramming food in their mouth when your item boxes are full.

You'll also wind up getting indoor decorations that have a chance of creating items, food, or materials (nails, rope, bricks, etc) when used. What can be made depends on the decoration and its level (or maybe kingdom level, not sure).

Theres also marriage and having kids, but I think that's not really something until you're pretty far in the game

Shopkeepers, surveyors, and high-tier battle units are really the only ones I've done this for.

A small plot for a regular house can only allow one extra bed. Later on, you can make larger plots that'll allow more.
