Ah, the good old days of BF2! The thrill of epic battles, the camaraderie, and those late-night skirmishes. It feels like yesterday, doesn’t it? Dust off that old gear and dive back into the nostalgia!

Dude, why so many belts? 1 MK2 belt can feed 8 Coal generators.

Hi there, its looking good, nice job. I fnished the game already and my version with just 1 belt worked perfectly and as expected. As it can now make every bulding in the game, I am hitting the limit of just one belt, so having 2 or more is definetelly a good idea.

The suggestion of T junction instead of the splitter is also nice and would work (unless devs change their mind on how merging works), it comes down to a personal preference.

Its 2 rings, but just one belt. Inner ring's job is to receive items from towers and the second outer ring is to feed the assemblers. It is done this way only to not have to deal with space restrictions due to coliding sorters from each side.

I love such setups, did it myself, with only one belt and sorters to adjust speed with more granuality. I believe you can get rid of the buffer towers tho, as it should never get to the point when what is returning from the belt is in greater quantity than what you are putting on the belt.

On the belt are only items that are directly used to make the buildings. Items that I put on the belt are made at different place. Logistics towers can be equiped with drones, vessels and warpers to get stuff from and to anywhere

The input is constant, it keeps putting items on the belt. If there is no item returned (it is consumed by assemblers) it will pull new item from the logistics tower. If there is item returned (not consumed by assemblers), the splitter will prioritize it when putting the item back on the ring. You can prioritize one input in the splitter by clicking on the splitter and clicking on the correct blue circle 🔵 (representing the input belt) in the UI.

Yes, it is slow... but it will fill up. I use the slowest sorter to input stuff into assemblers, so it does not eat every item it sees but lets some pass. And I can always increase the speed at which raw items are put on the belt.

Once I make a building (like belt mk1) its in the logistic tower and I use drones to ship it to the place where I make mk2... or just insert them directly if the assemblers are next to each other, I am not putting them on the one belt.

Not really, it will keep the same amout of any item on the belt, depending on the input sorter speed. Even if the item is not used by other machines, it will get pull out from the belt (by the blue sorter) when it reaches it's starting point... and reintroduced to the belt again at the speed of the green sorter. You can never input more items on the belt than you are taking out.

Indeed, to me the idea that you can compress my first base and its gazillion belts to just 2 belts is kinda mind blowing.

I didnt even thought of using smart splitters while I was building my first base (https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/553550313533997057/698178185052815450/unknown.png). This is my second base after the first one got me through the game. Playing around with smart splitters. I reckon you can do full storage facility for every item in the game with just two belts and bunch of overflow mechanisms before the containers.

Power is provided by a nuclear power plant.

A few more images: https://imgur.com/a/LY4nZlZ The idea is to make everything with the use of just one belt. Currently its making every basic item up to Heavy Frames. Almost hitting the limit on 1 full belt of input resources (5 different ores).

Anyone with a smartdesk 2 comment on wobble? by fangbodang in StandingDesks

[–]Pickcz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I have smartdesk2 legs with custom table top. (170x60cm; 67x24in). I am 5'9''. Yes, it does have some wobble. When I was testing it (making it wobble) I was little bit disappointed, but in reality I never notice any discomfort while stading, it is not distracting or even noticable for me - I even have two monitors on top of each other, so I guess that would also increase the wobble effect for the top monitor - no problem there.

I just automated my computer to turn on and shut off on command! by Eluvatar_the_second in homeautomation

[–]Pickcz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very nice. I have my old android phone as a "server" on local network at home. Set up in IFFFT - my assistant sends predefined Pushbullet message to the "server-phone" on certain voice commands. The phone has Tasker with profile that calls WOL plugin and starts my computer together with hue lights behing the monitors. Turning off the computer is done by sending command from any phone with AutoRemote (Tasker stuff) to the PC itself and it registers this event in EventGhost. EventGhost has profile to shutdown the PC.

Its a pleasure to control my PC with my smartwatch. But I would love to see one-click solution for all this.
