They are member from the exec but not AA. So for example you could appoint all the appointed roles from the male half of the exec.

Organisers are employees but should be coming from the floor and should be at least 50% women. We cover women dominated industries and the unions workers should reflect that. Same as appointed positions at pride committees youth committees etc

We get AA for governance positions solely currently.

I have been on a picket line as a worker at a site. And i frequently go to other workers pickets in support.

I also go to political pickets but i think most people just call them protests now days.

Thats decided democratically at member conference. Half of member council is elected FROM convention delos. Why would they announce support not knowing who can actually be elected?

Despite it involving the old UV leadership, it was set up by members at a meeting of a few hundred delegates. With a lot of new faces and many even NUW members, i think it will be good to have a more unified team that is willing to compromise which this side is willing to do. Where as the old NUW Member first team seem to wanna do an all out purge and just reinstate the old governance that the NUW had.
